Arthur Stevenson is the son of unknown parents who is a former witch who rarely uses his witchcraft and is a Preeminent Vampire

Early History[]
Though not much is known about his early life, it is known that he was turned into a Vampire by Darius Salvatore sometime in The 1200s. Arthur was also quite well trained in the magical arts and was knowledgeable about mystical objects prior to becoming a Preeminent Vampire. He has also lived for over 800+ years making him a quite ancient vampire. At some point after 1227 Arthur became the leader of The Order.
Resurrection[]
In The Early 18th Century Darius Salvatore would slaughter a group of unknown innocent people in a settlement that would become known as modern-day California. Centuries later in 2031 a Powerful Witch named Carmen would emerge in Mystic Falls, seeking revenge for her family who were slaughtered in The 1800s. Hellbent on killing Darius, Samantha Salvatore, and Sophia Salvatore-Knight for unnamed reasons, she would resurrect Arthur (a known friend of Darius) in order to force him to find him. Upon his revival Arthur would request to be given back all of his former powers that he had previously. When she did this Arthur would try to deceive Carmen and would attempt to run to try and kill Samara Gilbert, still filled anger and vengeance. Carmen would stop him temporarily but somehow he would escape. Still bound to life by Carmen's magic, Arthur lives only by Carmen's energy so if she died he too would. Carmen almost decided to revoke his powers and end his life but decided against it for reasons that are unknown.
Death[]
1st Death[]
In order to complete his transition into aVampire and later Preeminent Vampire Arthur's neck was snapped.
2nd Death[]
After Samara Gilbert discovered a string of murders relating to an Unknown Vampire, Samara would track Arthur down to the headquarters of the order (the one located in Mystic Falls, Virginia). Upon disguising herself as a Vampire and using her lying skills (as well as her inability to be compelled) Samara would be able to successfully enter the order headquarters and would run quickly to the order's training grounds. Once there Samara would shieve her Darius Sword and would stab it into Arthur, as she started draining a lot of his life force into the stone. When she did this many Order members attacked Samara which caused her to have to try quite hard, evading their attacks and killing even the most ancient of vampires. Using her Enhanced Strength, Samara would punch Arthur through the orders wall as she then jumped out of the wall and reached her hand out mid-air. As Arthur's body landed upon the hard ground Samara's hand would go straight through Arthur's body and would pierce through his heart, which caused Samara to decide on ripping out his heart. After being stared at by an unknown order member who was starting to chase after her, Samara poured lighter fluid on Arthur, before putting her lighter on the fluid and making Arthur's body become engulfed in flames. Not long after this Samara would run away in an unknown vehicle.
3rd Death[]
When Arthur was revived by the witch known as Carmen he would almost instantly go to Samara Gilbert. Because he was revived and Samara had formerly marked Arthur with her blade Samara had a connection to Arthur and fell over while in class. She soon excused herself and started running out. Samara and Arthur would run towards each other and Samara would believe that she was hallucinating because she already killed him years ago. Eventually she would learn that it was real and she would jump on the tree, before slicing off Arthur's head.
Personality[]
Arthur is usually kind, empathetic, intelligent and independent. Sometimes he can be vengeful and enraged at others when they anger him to a great point and he carried this rage into death as was seen when he wanted to get revenge on Samara for killing him for the second time. Arthur has also showed leadership as he as lead The Order for over a century.
Physical Appearance[]
Arthur has shaggy brown hair that grows longer and smoother in later seasons, and Arthur's eye color seems to change time to time. Sometimes they appear light green, sometimes they appear brown, etc. He is noted by other characters to be handsome. He is very tall, 6'5" (195.58 cm) having a muscular build with broad shoulders and a muscular chest. This is especially ironic considering that he used to be teased for being short and wiry as a teenager. Arthur often wore multiple layers of clothing (namely plaid shirts) as well as jeans and boots.
