Azalea was the close friend, comrade, and ex-lover of Darius Salvatore. She was born in the 12th Century and was a Superior Human-Witch Hybrid prior to her death, and when she was resurrected in Evil Shall Perish she was given power to turn her into a Primordial Hybrid.

Azalea was born to unknown parents though it is known that she had a sister. She was born a Witch-Superior Human Hybrid (along with her sister).
Performing a Longevity Spell[]
At some point she would cast a potent longevity spell onto herself which would slow down her aging for centuries.
Meeting Darius Salvatore[]
At some point in the 1200s (as was mentioned in Evil Shall Perish) Azalea would meet Darius Salvatore and the two would fight alongside each other in The Fourth Crusade (1204) .
Azalea's hybridsm - 1707[]
Azalea would fall into critical condition from an unnamed disease. After begging to Darius (for him to end her life), Darius decides that he will put her out of her misery, though not before asking if she wanted to become a Hybrid. Azalea says that she would like to become a Hybrid, which leads to Darius giving Azalea his blood. After awaking in transition the disease is cured, although Azalea has no regrets. She says that she believes that Hybridism is for her and she asks Darius to join her giving others the gift. Darius would commiserate with Azalea, deciding to join her via helping others. Not long after this Darius recounts in his memoirs/diary that he will always thankful for Azalea and the decision to help others.
Throughout Legacies[]
In Legacies, a flashback shows Azalea being resurrected by Alexandria Salvatore in the episode known asEvil Shall Perish. Alexandria brings her back in order to make Darius emotionally be stopped. It works to a certain extent, and Darius join Azalea for the second time and in the same way, paying homage to her original death as a mortal.
In the present time after she grant Antonett Sierra peace by burning her dead body on a funeral pyre and with the latter reunited with Elijah Mikaelson Azalea tell Roman his sister is happy where she's at
Personality[]
Azalea was very good-natured, kind-hearted, and tender. She showed that she was willing to kill others, although she did not enjoy doing so. Azalea showed regret whilst in transition and begged for Darius to end her life. He did so, and despite her being in shock that her heart was extracted from her chest, she was very thankful for it and kept a smile on her face.
As a Primordial Hybrid, Azalea is for the better part of her resurrection, a shell of her mortal self. She constantly suffers hinderance from memories that she remembers, which only leads to Alexandria (the one who revived her), to getting mad. Due to her being controlled she is much more prone to lashing out and doing things that she wouldn't have done if she was mortal. When Azalea remembers Darius she is overcome with powerful emotions and breaks down into tears. The thought of being resurrected in order to fight against her former partner, generally sickened Azalea, and she seemed as if she couldn't bare it. Despite it not being "her" actions (due to her being controlled), she still apologized intensely. Azalea then reveals and states that she intends to live again and take hands of Darius, which leads to him completing her wishes, as Darius join her in the same exact way .
Physical Appearance[]
Azalea has black and blonde hair, brown eyes, and is fair-skinned.
Azalea shows signs of scarage where she died as a mortal though aside from that she generally has all of her physical features and things of the sort, that she did as a Mortal. Also upon being resurrected her eyes would often change to red (a common trait in Primordial Hybrid).
