Call of the Supermoon

Call of the Supermoon is the fourth part of the first chapter of the Omega Chronicles.

Plot[]

Aries placed a Gray wolf into a large bathtub followed by practically covering the wolf in wolfsbane. She then proceeded to take a syringe of blood from the Untriggered werewolf before taking the blood of the triggered werewolf and emptied it into the tub. Gemini proceeded to trigger a Supermoon.

Meanwhile; Alaric was flooring it in his car as David was talking on his phone with Gemini. David noticed the Supermoon and immediately informed Gemini that Aries was causing a celestial event. Gemini asked MG to give every Werewolf in the school a Moonlight Ring each to prevent them from transforming before going back to her locator spell. Gemini managed to succeed and told David that Aries was at a bridge that leads out of town. Alaric told David that it was the Wickery Bridge and that they're almost there.

Alternate Rafael and the Triggered Werewolf asked why they aren't changing to which Cancer appeared and introduced herself before telling him that is stopping them from transforming. Cancer revealed that she managed to get one of the Ancient Silver Maple Ash Dagger that David had claimed from the Fell Warehouse and snapped it half before throwing the blade into a tub. Aries brought over a large tank and poured its contents into the tub as Cancer commented that she was busy. Aries explained that it's Marcel's venom before revealing a sample jar and explained that she filled with the venom of 9 of the world's deadliest spider which she went to list as the; Brown Recluse spider, Brazilian Wandering spider, Yellow Sac Spider, Wolf spider, Black Widow spider, Brown Widow spider, Red Widow spider, Redback spider, and Funnel-web spider. She poured the venom into the tub before asking Alternate Rafael for his Moonlight Ring. He tried to refuse as it was the last gift that Alternate Landon gave him, but Aries reassured him that it'd become a permanent part of him.

David and Alaric arrived onto, but as soon as David tried to interfere; Aries conjured a brass arrow and threw it to Alternate Rafael. David and Alaric attacked Aries together, but the Zodiac was much stronger than the both of them and easily knocked them back. Alternate Rafael proceeded to shoot it into David's heart, killing him while Cancer knocked Alaric back with her magic. Anika arrived at the bridge and noticed David. She ran up to him and to told Alaric that she'd take care of David's body and dragged him into a secluded area to perform the Rakshasa Spell on him.

Aries placed the Moonlight Ring in the tub as she drew power from the Supermoon and recited an incantation. The fire circles disappeared while moonlight surrounded the tub as the solution begins to stir before; eventually, the contents of the tub are liquefied. Aries moved the tub and told Alternate Rafael to stand directly in the direct moonlight as she used filled several vials with the serum before giving one to Alternate Rafael as Alaric tried to talk him out of it. Aries dipped a brush into the serum and painted Rafael's chest with it - forming the Omega Symbol on it. She repeats her incantation uses herself as the large source of magic which brought the symbol to shrink and become a tattoo. Aries then proceeded to grab Jed and told Alternate Rafael to kill him.

Alternate Rafael complied as Cancer lifted her spell and told him to complete the transition by transforming. Rafael proceeded to initiate his transformation, however, unlike before it was quicker became a dire wolf-sized black wolf. Cancer used her magic to uncloak another werewolf as he was in the process of completing his transformation. Aries decided that Jerick was needed for her plan and proceeded to try and kill him.

David proceeded to attack Cancer and Aries was able to last long enough to save Jerick from, but Alternate Rafael managed bite David on the shoulder before running off as Cancer and Aries fled the area. Alternate Rafael was shot by Alaric's crossbow and nearly attacked him, but Anika saved him with a Wolfsbane Grenade forcing Alternate Rafael to flee. Jerick in wolf form ran off after Alternate Rafael while Alaric proceeded to drag David to his car and offered Anika a ride, but David told Alaric that she's a monster and not to be trusted. Alaric drove back to the school where everyone was waiting.

Gemini noticed the bite on David's shoulder and proceeded to brush it off due to Werewolf bites only being venomous to Vampires, however, began to hallucinate as Hope noticed the bite mark still present. Hope asked one of the Werewolves that was at the ritual and he confirmed that Marcel's venom, as well as the venom of 9 of the world's deadliest spiders, was used in the ritual. Alaric overheard and suggested that the mixture means that an Omega Werewolf's bite is fatal to all species, including Humans. Charlotte arrived at the School, and David explained she was his supplier as he regular fed on vampire hearts due to his displeasure in Human flesh.

Hope confirmed to Josie and Lizzie that her blood can't cure an Upgraded Original's bite and as such it can't cure an Omega Werewolf's bite. Josie and Lizzie offer to siphon the venom, but David told them that he is unsure that it'll even work as the magic in the venom will be siphoned by the natural toxicity of the spider venom that was used would still be present and wasn't sure that he'll die with the new strain of spider venom in his system. David thanked them for their offer as they left him with Hope as Gemini tried to think of a way to cure the bite. David almost attacked MG, but Hope was able to use her magic to sedate him.

Gemini placed Jed's body on the floor as she explained that she managed to use her magic to acquire him and proceeded to resurrect him. Gemini was in a panic as she explained the first time she resurrected David. She didn't after he committed suicide by an explosion in order to get away from Cancer which was twenty years ago. Alaric asked to clarify; David killed himself in 2011 and he was revived in 2020. Alaric was impressed by lengths that David will go to get away from Cancer. Gemini told him that David became a Rakshasa when he was a newborn as a result of being stillborn. David was taken from his parents, but Cancer was able to give him his mother's wedding ring to try to put his mind at ease. Alaric correctly presumed that David doesn't want to be a Rakshasa as Gemini revealed that she intends to turn him back to human.
