A Carina Doppelgänger(s) is a doppelgänger that originated with Anise Carina.
Early History[]
Anise Carina (creator of the Carina Doppelgängers) was born within 1st Century B.C. a few years after Silas, and Amara were born. She was part of the doppelgangers pertaining to Silas, and Amara but the creation caused a specific flaw for the birth of Anise's doppelgangers. The flaw is that Anise, and her doppelganger descendants have to died to be reborn into the next doppelganger. The only known ways of being able to bypass this is if you become a Vampire(another supernatural being that has the same effects of a Vampire/makes you undead) and if you are the next 4th reincarnation (i.e 4, 8, 12, 16, 20) you can still be alive when the 3rd reincarnation is. It is unknown why this is the case but it is nonetheless. It's been revealed that Alexandria Salvatore is the creator of the Carina Doppelgangers. It is unknown of how Alexandria use Anise to create the Doppelgangers some say she save her from dying others say she punished Anise with a curse after Anise refuses to marry Cyrus.

Anise Carina[]
Anise Carina is the very first Carina Doppelgänger and is the originater of the Carina Doppelgänger line.
Renise Mikaelson[]
Renise Mikaelson is the youngest of the Mikaelson family, and is the first reincarnation of Anise, as well as the first Carina Doppelgänger (Not including Anise Carina).
Deserae Katz[]
Deserae Katz was the daughter of a priest and a nun, both loyal to the holy church. She participated in the First Crusade to honour her family and the church, although she would fall in battle, and would be fed on, and later turned by Darius Salvatore into a vampire. Deserae Katz is the second incarnation of Anise Carina.
Emily Forbes[]
Emily Margaret Forbes is the third reincarnation of Anise Carina and is a Carina Doppelgänger. She is a member of the Forbes Family and was turned into a Vampire in 1860. Annalise Denisa would be born over a century later as the 4th Carina Doppelgänger.
Clarisse Denisa[]
Clarisse Denisa is the fourth reincarnation of Anise Carina, and is a Carina doppelgänger that is part of the founding families of Mystic Falla. Was killed by Katherine Piece leading to her 4th rebirth. The only reason why Clarisse and Emma were able to co-exist with each other without one of them dying is due to the fact that every 4th reincarnation (i.e 4, 8, 12, 16, 20) can coinside with the previous Doppelgänger.
Annalise Denisa[]
Annalise Denisa is the fifth, and current incarnation of the Carina Doppelgängers. She was born in 1993 and similarly to Emma Forbes lives within Mystic Falls(though unlike her she hasn't left Mystic Falls.
Tairisse Gilbert[]
Tairisse Gilbert is the sixth, and future incarnation of the Carina doppelgängers, and descendant of both the Denisa family & Gilbert family.

- The Carina doppelgänger bloodline is the third most known behind the Salvatores, and Petrovas.
- Excluding Emily all Carina doppelgängers first name ends with a s & e.
- Two Carina doppelgängers have been turned into Vampires by Darius Salvatore.
- Renise & Annalise are the only two of the Carina doppelgängers to become original vampires till Annalise is cured.
