David Phoenix is an Australian that was born in India. However, he was stillborn but was resurrected as a Rakshasa; however, Gemini was able to turn him human again and eventually transformed him into an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter. He is the main male protagonist of the Omega Chronicles.
Personality[]
David is a hot-headed individual but compassionate and understanding. He also has a strong sense of self and refuses to let the fact that he's a Rakshasa define him. He doesn't bend to blackmail or ultimatums.
After becoming an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter; David became happy with himself for the first as well as more confident in himself as well as maintaining his compassionate and understanding side. However, due to his new abilities, he tends to drop his guard after gaining the upper hand in a fight.
History[]
2031[]
Following his death due to stillborn; Cancer managed to gain custody of David Phoenix's body and resurrected him through the Rakshasa Spell after he died as a result of being stillborn. David was granted the ability to age normally through Cancer's magic. Upon resurrection; he became a Rakshasa, however, due to being an infant at the time - he didn't think much of the situation. Cancer secretly fed him human flesh by mixing it with his food. It wouldn't be until he was 13.
Cancer was the first to reveal to him about his plight and told him that Rakshasas have a slow metabolism which means he wouldn't have to eat human flesh and should just accept his life as a Rakshasa, but David refused.
However, Cancer managed to trick him into eating Human flesh. David managed to escape from Cancer at the age of 15 and managed to stowaway on a vassal headed for Mexico. He spent two years in Mexico before Cancer managed to catch up with him. Cancer tried to blackmail David with ultimatums and false threats to return to India with her, but he refused. David caused an explosion at a gas station which resulted in his death while Cancer survived.
David was resurrected by Gemini in 2020, however, before Gemini offered to reverse the Rakshasa spell - David fled from her - believing that she was in league with Cancer.
Pre-Salem Chapter[]
David arrived in Mystic Falls in 2031 sometime after Lizzie and Josie's 17th birthday. David managed to befriend a vampire named Charlotte before he came to town and used her to supply him with vampire hearts for him to feed on. He would later meet her at the Town Square the day after his arrival while also managing to get room at the Lockwood Mansion after contacting an older Blair Fell. However, his relationship with Charlotte seems less than friendly as Charlotte implied that he'd kill her if she stopped supplying him with vampire hearts.
During a battle between David and Aries - David was shot through the back by Alternate Rafael resulting in his third death, however, Anika Bhavsar manage to resurrect him. Alternate Rafael wasted little time though and bit David.
However, David was able to last long enough to save Jerick but died for a fourth time later. Gemini was able to finally revive as a Human; the one thing that he has barely been in his life. After he was resurrected; David moved to Salem, Massachusetts in order to get a fresh start at life.
Cancer chapter[]
Soon he would found by Cancer and managed to avoid each of her attempts to kill him. After escaping Anika's attempt to kill him and turn him back into a Rakshasa - David met with Gemini in order to gain the power to fight back. Gemini helped David become an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter.
David would later meet Olga Milkov, and he befriends her, but learn of her conception from Gemini. After David informed Olga that she was a clone - she decided to find out Cancer's plan, however, Aries confronted them with the intent on creating some new Original Vampires and is intent on using Olga both as her blood and one of the people to become an Original, however, David was able to fight Aries off and nearly overpowered her.
Aries would lead David to an Oak tree and demonstrate her power to him but turning it into a White Oak Tree complete with the properties that White Oak once had. Before he had a chance to act - a human brainwashed by Anika stabbed beheaded David with a machete, however, before Anika could have any chance to use the Rakshasa Spell on him - David resurrected and smugly told Anika that he couldn't be properly killed anymore due to his powers as an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter.
After learning that Gemini was trying to help Olga with her rapid ageing by bringing Annalise Denisa to his dimension; David began to see that the twins were in fact not like their sisters and offered to train Annalise. After learning that Aries hired an 800-year-old Vampire named Gunther Ragnarson to compel Annalise into use killing herself in order to prevent Gemini from using her to extend Olga's life; David used his Upgraded Hunter's blood grant her temporary immunity to compulsion.
David managed to encourage Gemini to send Annalise back to her own universe and find another way to help Olga. Gemini was hesitant but as soon as Bonnie, Caroline, & Stefan arrived in the Omega universe intending to bring her back home - the twins began to fear that she was becoming like her sister and agreed to let Bonnie take her back to own universe. David learned from Gemini that due to her magic - she was able to take Annalise from a time that Stefan was still a Vampire rather. David reassured Annalise if they'd needed her help with anything - they'd ask first rather than just abducting her.
Pádraig came up with a plan to use kill Aries once and for all, and went with Olga and David to discuss the plan at the Salem Library. Pádraig noted that each of Zodiacs have actively refused to physical touch Leprechaun Gold which prompted him to think that it is possibly the only known method of killing a Zodiac. David questioned on how they'll get the Aries to touch the Gold and Pádraig stated that they might have to force her to.
Jerick arrived at the library where Pádraig, Olga, and David were plotting on a way to kill Aries and Jerick offered to help. Pádraig was concerned that he'd been driven to rage by joining them, but Jerick reaffirmed that so long as he doesn't consider the three of them as a family or a group. He'll be fine.
David suggested that they use Jerick to synthesize a cure to an Omega Werewolf Bite as well. Jerick offered to help. Pádraig filled a vial with Omega Werewolf venom and used Phoenix blood that Landon had donated along with a spell to create the necessary antivenom. Aries would soon learn of Jerick betrayal and uses her power to send David, Pádraig, and Jerick to Annalise's universe.
David found out from reading the newspaper that they were sent to 2031 of Annalise's universe instead 2016, and as a result, David began worried that she wouldn't remember him due to it being 15 years in her time since she last saw him. Jerick told him to meet with her anyway. After the trio met up with Isabella Gilbert at the Mystic Grill; Isabella initially didn't believe that David knew Annalise but after a violent battle with Cancer - she chose to believe them but only gave David the coordinates.
Isabella told David that Annalise Denisa married Jeremy Gilbert in 2027 and often joined him on his Vampire Hunts. Isabella told David that Annalise and Jeremy were last sighted in New York hunting a Vampire with the Ripper affliction. David was able to locate Jeremy and Annalise in Hell's Kitchen. Annalise recognised him and greeted him with a hug, however, their reunion was cut short as the New York Vampire proceeded to try to drain David of blood only the Vampire; however, David's Upgraded Hunter's Blood ended up burning the vampire and stunning it long enough for Jeremy to kill it. David explains that he was sent to her universe by Aries and needed a way to return, but Annalise told him that Bonnie was the one to use the spell.
David requested her to take him to Bonnie, but before Jeremy and Annalise stated they are not sure which country she is in right now and Jeremy suggests that David sought out Hope instead. The three of them prepared to travel back to Mystic Falls.
On their journey back to Mystic Falls; Annalise questions David about his blood and David revealed to her and Jeremy that he is an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter and his blood is just as harmful to Vampires as Vervain is and also explained that his flesh is harmful to Werewolves. He explains that his abilities were created to combat the Rakshasa in his universe as well as to be a perfect weapon against the Supernatural.
David, Annalise, and Jeremy arrived a day after Cancer attacked the Salvatore School and were brought up to speed by Alaric.
Annoyed by Cancer's constant reprisal in his life; David sought out Hope for a Locator spell to find Cancer and was able to find her.
Annalise tried to talk him out of but as did Jeremy. David feigned agreement but left anyway and tracked her to island that Silas tomb was.
David confronted Cancer, and after a brief spat, they proceeded to battle against Cancer. Cancer revealed that she killed his parents for refusing to give custody of his body which enraged David.
After tricking Cancer into making contact with a piece of Leprechaun gold; he witnesses her hand burn which he recounts to the time that Cancer's hands burn just after learning that he became an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter and realised that his body causes the same effect due to the spell.
He proceeded to plunge his fist into Cancer's chest and managed to leave the gold in her body before retracting his hand before Cancer had the chance to sever his hand. As Cancer burnt to death, she managed to use Molecular Combustion on David with the snap of her fingers. However, David resurrected shortly after.
Annalise and Jeremy managed to find David on the Island; Annalise scolded David find leaving without a word before taking him back to the Salvatore School.
David, Padraig, and Jerick meet up with Hope as she and the Salvatore School witches as they use their magic to open a portal to the Omega Universe. The three of them return to their own universes as they bid everyone a goodbye.
David revealed to Gemini that he killed Cancer. Gemini was saddened by her sister's death but decided not to hold it against him. David explained everything that transpired when they sent to the other universe.
Anika met up with David and was pissed that he killed Cancer. A man named Rajesh attempts to attack Anika, but she manages to knock him away. Anika tells David that she'll find a way to make him a Rakshasa again before leaving him.
David met up with Olga and informed her of the events that occurred. Olga tried to tell David about Pádraig, but they were interrupted by Gemini. The twins request their help with acquiring an artefact that can help them defeat Aries. David introduces the twins to Rajesh and asks if she could help him as she did with him. Gemini promised to make Rajesh human again but needs his help to take down Aries. David takes Rajesh with him as he goes to the Gedney House. Rajesh managed to steal the key from the owners using his invisibility and helped David get in by using illusions to mask their activity. David entered the house, but Rajesh found himself unable to enter the house. David realises that he has to be invited to enter the house and told him to keep guard while checked the house out.
Rakshasa Coven chapter[]
David was told that the house was home to a piece of amber that was fossilised from the resin of the oldest bristlecone pine tree. The twins believe that such age may give the fossil some mystic properties. David fines the amber underneath the floorboards and proceeds to leave, but a Rakshasa stops them named Annunciata Gaccione. She stabs David in the stomach with a brass knife as she demanded that Rajesh come with her and bring the amber with her. Rajesh refused to go with her, but Annunciata twisted the knife to cause David more pain and stated that the Rakshasa Coven is a safe space for Rakshasas and the invitational cannot be rejected. She eventually joined and so will Rajesh. Rajesh saw Padraig across the road and called out to him. Padraig rushed over, but Rajesh told him to catch the amber and leave as he threw it. Padraig was able to use his magic to bring the amber to him and left the area.
Annunciata proceeded to maul David to death out of anger before breaking Rajesh's neck. David revives moments later and Rajesh and Annunciata after. David sought out Olga to find out where Rajesh went, but she had no idea prompting David to meet up with Padraig at Salem Common; however, Padraig told he hid the Amber for safekeeping. David spotted Annunciata at the bandshell and immediately noticed that she was experiencing the Upgraded Hunter's Curse.
David began tormenting her by pretending to be a hallucination but was knocked out by Anika Bhavsar. David recovered but found himself locked in a cage, but he managed to snap the lock and escaped. Anika tries to stop him, but David proved immune to Anika's magic and coldly stated that there is no cure to the Upgraded Hunter's Curse and that Nuncia will eventually kill herself. David watched as Anika as she placed Nuncia under a sleeping curse in order to stop her from killing herself.
David managed to rescue Rajesh by snapping the necks of both Anika and Yashvi and met up with Padraig. Padraig informed David that Olga was missing as Rajesh complained that he was hungry. David gave him a Vampire's heart allowing Rajesh to feast on it while David tells him that a Vampire's heart will only sustain Rajesh for 2 days.
David, Rajesh, Padraig, and Jerick met up with Gemini-One at Gemini's residence, and she told the four that Olga was taken along with Aethelwulf and a number of other people. David remembers that Aries was intent on creating a new line of Original Vampires and went to meet up with the Salem Coven; however, he was attacked by Angelo Frascone. However, David managed to resist Angelo's illusions as the Rakshasa-Witch hybrid attempted to get an edge over him. Padraig magically snapped Angelo's neck as David and Padraig ran off to the coven. The coven revealed that they recently felt as massive surge relating to their link to other Salem witches and stating that a large number of them were killed. David presumes that Aries killed them in order to transform a location into a magical hotspot.
David and Padraig were unable to reach Aries in time as she transforms them into Original Vampires and Original Hybrid. David was called back to Gemini's apartment and was at first given the urge to kill the other Supernatural creatures in the room but resisted his Hunter's Instinct before hugging Olga.
David and Olga left Gemini's apartment after Olga received her daylight ring as David proceeded to try to help her adjust to her new life as an Original Vampire. David contacted Rajesh and asked him to steal some blood bags. After receiving the blood bags - David was getting ready to give them to her only for Gemini-One to spell them to refill every time she empties them. Angelo attempted to attack David for "betraying" the Rakshasa Coven, but Olga was able to save him by slashing him across the face with a brass nail.
The next day, David would learn from Aries that Pádraig's body was found on the floor of her apartment. David at first accused Aries of the murder but Aries revealed that it was Yashvi Venkatesh and her coven that attacked him and killed him.
David informs Gemini-One of the events. David proceeded to rush over to Yashvi's hideout loaded with brass weapons and proceeded to kill most of the members of the Coven. David staked Anika Bhavsar with a brass stake while spraying the rest with Ghost Chili seeds. Yashvi manages to magically explode the rest of David's brass weapons. Yashvi managed to soldier through her pain and knocked him to the ground. David decided to take Anika's body and Angelo with him. David gave Angelo the rest of the blood bags allowing him to complete his transition.
David went off to see Olga as he refused to give Angelo a daylight ring. David met up with Olga, and the two used the opportunity to try to have a peaceful. They spent some time at the historic homes as David returned to Gedney House. David wondered what happened to the bristlecone amber and Olga simply requested that he'd not bring it up for today. David decided to go to the Witch House as Olga followed him and stated that their might be another amber in the house. David approached the current owner and asked her to invite Olga in before the Mokujin arrived. David was confused by it and stated that it "looked like Mokujin from the Tekken Series". It slowed approached David, but Olga got in the way; however, David remembered that the character was made White Oak and told her that the figure might also be made from White Oak as well. Olga managed to avoid being hit by it as she noticed the wood and confirmed that it indeed is made from White Oak. David decided to call it a Mokujin as he avoided being grabbed. Jerick arrived and attempted to the wood person down but before it could do any more damage, a Salem witch named Miranda Loven used her magic to freeze the Mokujin in place allowing David, Jerick, and Olga to escape.
Miranda Loven caught up with them and informed that the wooden person won't give up until he has completed its task. David asked for the name of the creatures, but Miranda said it didn't really matter only David to decide on naming it "Mokujin". Miranda managed to get David's focus back on the situation at hand as she tries to research it. David asks for the history of Rakshasa, but Miranda wants to stay on track with the Mokujin. David asks Jerick to fill him as he is going to talk to Angelo Frascone. Miranda tells him that Mokujins have low mobility and can be destroyed by fire. David thanks and heads off as Olga follows him in order to help him.
Olga helps David by compelling Angelo to answer his questions. Angelo reveals the origin of Rakshasa to have started with the first Rakshasa Spell, which wasn't as perfect as the current one. The official lie that has been told is that the spell's requirements consist of the blood of a carnivorous animal, a large source of magic, and a recently deceased corpse. However, he is the true requirements are much more involving. Angelo reveals the original spell that created the first of the Rakshasa species known which was created by a Coven of witches of which Angelo has come to known was led by Cancer. The Imperfects failed to transition properly and died; as a result, only a family of three were successful while she tried again but used a curse, but the cursed variants were mostly rabid and uncontrollable. But both spells left both variants with magical blood that Cancer used as part of the true requirements to the Rakshasa Spell. Cancer altered the premise of an old resurrection spell and used it to create the spell that was necessary to give way to the Rakshasa species. Olga was impressed by Cancer's determination but was more shocked that from Angelo's description of the two Rakshasa variants are essentially components. David thanked Angelo for his help before handing him a Daylight Ring. Olga was surprised by David's action with David simply saying that he isn't a jerk, however, as Angelo took the ring, he was staked by the Mokujin Samurai. However, David proceeded to grab a hairspray can and a lighter, using them to torch the samurai.

David had the standard abilities of a Rakshasa. After becoming an Upgraded Supernatural Hunter; he gained the standard abilities of one.
