Derek was a human who was the boyfriend of Paige. Klaus fed him his blood, then later killed him which turned him into a vampire.
Biography[]
Derek was a human who lived within the pack of werewolves, due to his relationship with Paige. He was compelled by Klaus to feed all the Hybrids which Klaus made. At one point, Klaus fed Derek his own blood to heal him and then killed him. Eventually, Derek awoke while he was in transition. He was able to drink some blood from a dead hybrid which made him complete his transition.
