Emily Emma Margaret Forbes is the fourth reincarnation of Anise Carina, and is a Carina Doppelgänger.
Early History[]
Born near the outskirts of Mystic Falls, Virginia, Emily was often overlooked by her mother and father. It seemed that they failed to realize her accomplishments and only cared to acknowledge her brother (John Forbes)' achievements. This unacknowledgement from her parents caused her to try and run from home on multiple occasions. She learned to read and write at a young age (which was quite unusual during that time period), and idolized a famous poet by the name of Darius Salvatore, aspiring to meet him one day.
Founders Day, 1860[]
Emma worked as a server during the 1860 ball. As the ball continued into the night Darius Salvatore would arrive with a friend named Alexander. As the night went on Darius would get more and more hungry but seemed to continue to keep it in check. Alexander told Darius to indulge in his vampirism, but due to it being Founders Day he told Alexander that he "would not wish for that" as it was an important day and he didn't want an unnecessary bloodbath. Alexander continued to try and persuade Darius even further, going as far as compelling Emily to be Darius' "drink" for the night. Eventually Darius would succumb to the sound of Emily's beating heart and the sound of blood pumping through her veins, before unleashing his fangs into her carotid artery. After drinking so much blood that Alexander started to get worried, he would try to stop Darius from going any further, but Darius would throw Alexander through a wall, sending him flying. Darius would almost drain Emily of a majority of her blood, as she fell to the ground and started to die. Realizing what he had done he would compel all those around to not remember the moment as he then gave Emily his blood, transforming her into a Preeminent Vampire.
After becoming a vampire[]
After this happened Emily would feed on her first human life, initiating her full transformation into a Vampire. Darius would soon after this leave the ball and would return to his estate, though not before Emily and Darius look each other in the eye for the first time (uncompelled). Knowing that it had to be Darius Salvatore the amazing poet, and that he must've turned her into whatever monster she was now, this would cause her to chase him down. Emily would go as far as moving to Cherrysville, Louisiana in order to get closer to Darius and get answers. After 11 whole years Emily would eventually be able to meet Darius again in 1870. By now she had become a renowned female politician, advocating for female rights and supernatural peace within Cherrysville. Darius and Emily would meet once more due to the fact that Emily set up a meeting for the two. After realizing Emily was the one he turned a decade ago he would be quite astonished. After many minutes of conversing Emily and Darius would slowly become friends.
Veronica's conception[]
Not long after the meeting, Emily would become a high-ranking member of The Order (per the request of Darius) and continued to serve within the Order until 1890. In 1890 a short fling with Darius, led to her giving birth to Veronica Salvatore.
Veronica was raised until adulthood.
World War 2[]
In 1941 Emily compelled people so that she could serve in the army even as a women. Because women weren't allowed to be in the army yet, she would have to participate in a squadron alongside men. Due to Darius always enlisting within practically every major world-wide war during this era, Darius would be put in the same unit as Emily by coincidence. The two would fight together and would become war heroes in their own right.
Unit 364 managed to liberate Italy and were key in its liberation. Also in this war Emily realized that she wasn't completely indestructible and that she must be careful.
1944, Belgium (Day)[]
In 1944 the battle to try and liberate the country would be quite intense. Multiple casualties occurred and it was looking quite bleak for Unit 364.
1944, Belgium (Night)[]
In the night of Belgium Emily her squad accompanied by Darius would liberate Belgium on September 2.
May 8, 1945, Italy[]
In May 8, 1945 Emily and Darius would dominate the Nazi forces within Italy. As they were on the last band of Nazi troops in Italy, Emily would be gunned down and would have over 100 bullets drilled into her. This would cause Emily to fall to the ground, going unconscious. After telling the remainder of the american troops to shoot at the Nazi's, Darius would carry Emily through the mayhem of the war and would get into a secrete location. Emily is fed Darius' blood, and when she did, she would immediately wake up coughing up blood. Her wounds of gunshots that onced disfigured her body were gone and completely healed. Emily soon after this would feed on an unknown Italian civilian, quenching her thirst. On this same day Italy would be liberated and Darius along with Emily would be able to go home.
After Returning From The War[]
Once returning from the war Emily would experience various episodes of PTSD that lasted quite long and sometimes just bursted out. At an unknown point Darius would realize this and would help her get through this. He had been through PTSD before and the two found solace within each other.
Conception of Emily's second child[]
As time went on Emily and Darius became closer and closer, becoming romantically involved with each other once again in the late 1940s. This relationship would cause the birth of Eve Salvatore. Because she was a Preeminent Vampire this made it possible for her to have children. Eventually she would learn that she was pregnant and Darius as well as Emily would raise Eve together.
Personality[]
Emily is a very kind person who cares for others. She is compassionate, has good values, and tries to do the most good that she can. In 1944 she showed extreme happiness about liberating the Belgian people and even though it was an intense was she continued to put up a good smile.

Again in 1945 she would experience great joy when she and Darius liberated Italy along with all of the other soldiers. In 1945 she also showed intense regret about not being able to tell Darius how she felt about him and would believe that she was going to die
Physical Appearance[]

Emily has blonde/brown hair that flows down to her shoulder, ice blue eyes and has been cited by many people as beautiful.

Depending on the Century Emily can be seen wearing all sorts of different attire, though most famously is known for her luxurious dresses and her fashionable clothing.
Powers and Abilities[]
Emily has all powers and abilities of a Preeminent Vampire because she is one.
Super Speed -
Preeminent Vampires are quite fast and are adept in that field being able to dash several meters with ease.
Super Strength -
Preeminent Vampires are far much stronger than the originals, werewolves, vampires, non- hybrids, Primordial Werewolves, Primordial Vampires, and even humans. They can decimate and devastate others with little to no effort. They grow stronger with the passage of time, their muscular physique is much more defined, and their strength it is almost second to none.
Immortality -
Preeminent Vampires are immortal. They do not physically age and are immune to all illnesses, toxins, poisons and human diseases or physical conditions. The only physical weapon that can bring permanent death to a Original Preeminent Vampire is a Preeminent Dagger or Preeminent Stake, though a regular/normal Preeminent Vampire can be killed with a wooden steak.
Enhanced Emotions -
Preeminent Vampires experience emotions more powerfully than humans. Emotions like love, joy, and happiness are intensified for vampires allowing them to live life more intensely. This ability allows the original vampires to feel emotions at their peak regardless of their age. They have been shown experiencing emotions as powerfully today as they did many years ago.
Telepathy -
Original Preeminent Vampires have the ability to enter the minds of others as long as theirs is stronger than them although, as Preeminent vampires, they have one of the strongest minds in the world. Normally, this ability works in a tactile fashion and the vampire requires physical contact in order for it to work successfully. However, Darius Salvatore was somehow able to communicate telepathically to his son.
Super Durability -
Preeminent Vampires have a very high amount of durability, being able to withstand multiple attacks before any severe or major damage starts to show. This ability varies though as some Preeminent Vampires cannot use this ability and others can.
Super Healing -
Preeminent Vampires boast quite extraordinary healing capabilities as they are even able to grow back entire limbs. This partially contributed to the reason why The Preeminent Daggers were created (weapons that could kill the Preeminent Vampire).
Animal Transformation -
The Preeminent Vampire has the ability to magically morph into an Animal. These forms could differentiate from each other with some being able to morph into werewolves. When they do this they get the abilities of what they transform into.
Time Bending/Freezing -
They have the ability to freeze time but mere seconds (2-5 seconds). This ability is quite great though since within a matter of seconds one can do lots of damage to another.
Poisonous Skin -
Emily inherited the Preeminent Vampire ability to make her skin poisonous.
Being able to reproduce and create Progeny/Offspring -
It is unknown why but the Preeminent Vampire species is able to have children of their own.
Super Sensing -
Preeminent Vampires have extremely keen senses of hearing, sight and smell that far exceed those of immortals, supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans.
Weaknesses[]
Emily has all Weaknesses of a Preeminent Vampire because she is one.
The Cure -
If Emily takes the cure, ingests it, or gets forced it she will become an average Vampire.
Magic -
Some magic if formidable enough can hurt her and even kill her if strong enough.
Desiccation -
She can be desiccated by people like witches and witch hybrids. But through the use of magic desiccation, it can immobilise her and stop her.
Physical Trauma -
While any physical trauma can slow an Original Preeminent down, minor ones such as cuts and bruises, are essentially ineffective due to the healing factor of an Original vampire. More significant injuries along the lines of broken bones and organ damage can incapacitate one due to the combination of pain and lack of their bodies proper function. However, the most effective way to neutralise an Original, albeit temporarily, is to inflict injury normally fatal to a human such as breaking their neck or ripping out their heart. Minor physical injuries such as gunshots, stab wounds and broken bones will cause an Original Vampire pain and also slow them down. However, this is momentary as they will heal completely within seconds. It seems physical trauma can hurt them anywhere on the body (ex-eye gauging, drowning).
Sunlight -
Sunlight will burn a Preeminent vampire, but cannot kill them. All members of Darius' Line of The Salvatore Family (Darius' Bloodline) possess lapis lazuli rings to combat this. Samantha Salvatore and Darrien Salvatore are not affected by sunlight due to being a primordial werewolf-vampire witch tribrid.
Vervain -
Vervain prevents preeminent vampires from compelling anyone who takes it and burns them on touch. Preeminent vampires will heal very quickly from vervain wounds however.
