Gods are divine beings whose existence dates back to at least 3000 BC.

Creation[]

The existence of the gods date back to at least 3000 BC, though how they come into universe is unknown.

History[]

Collectively, the history of gods is unknown. While examining the enchanted sarcophagus, Professor Vardemus concludes that there's blood scrawled in multiple languages, speaking of the gods, but the gods of a dozen, or maybe more, different cultures.

Circa 4000 BC, Moloch first arrived on Earth in this period and lived among the Semitic people in an unknown region of Egypt. He encouraged child sacrifice amongst the Semitic in exchange for great powers.

Circa 3000 BC, a village at the base of Caucasus Mountains worshiped a group of gods that lived high atop one of the mountains, guarded behind a threshold that mortal men could not pass. One of the gods loved a mortal women that bore a child with divine blood. Ben, attempting to save his lover, stole the fire that the world would come to know as magic. Having failed to save Ashur, he gave the magic to his village, though they turned on him and in their lust for that power, monsters were born, along with many of the world's ills.

Circa 2000 BC, Moloch returned to Earth and agreed to sink Atlantis in exchange for a sacrifice by the Semitic people. However, once it was out of sight - Moloch completely destroyed Atlantis scattering the fragments across the world. He transformed Reyyan Nigel into the first ever Star Person after merging her soul with Dark Star before his banishment to the Red Universe.

For reasons yet to be explained, Ben tells Cleo that the gods have been sleeping for a long time.

Mara was one of one such Goddess who was banished to the Anti Universe with Moloch having been banished to the Red Universe and sealed via the Par Karban.

Stardust: The stardust left behind after the death of a Zodiac can allow a mortal to subdue a god/goddess by dipped a weapon in it.
Eitr: A substance so poisonous that it can even kill a god.
