The Golden Shears are a pair of shears designed by Sisters of Fate with the power to sever any sort of metaphysical or mystical ties a person has to something. This works with many things such as destiny, curses, life-links, and other times of bonds which includes objects empowered by magic. The Golden Shears are often mistaken as the shears the Sisters use to sever a person's life-string.
History[]
The Fates entrusted the protection of the shears to Alternate August who had a witch magically shrink the shears and place it within August's body. Soon Aries uses Theophilia to recover the Shears as Aries believes that it is the final piece to Gemini's plan to take her down.
Theophilia tracks Alternate August to Ireland and attempts to magically desiccate but Alternate August is too fast for Theophilia and almost kills her by sending her flying into a cliff. Theophilia would come to summon Aries to help her and Aries gave her the Darius stone and sword. Theophilia managed to get the drop on Alternate August, before depowering her daylight ring and then proceeding to weaken her with the stone before stabbing her with the Darius Stone. Theophilia manages to then magically remove the shears from August's body. Aries appeared and tested the shears by severing the magic from the daylight ring resulting in it being permanently depowered.
Aries and Theophilia left Alternate August to suffer under the sunlight as she burned in pain and returned to Salem, Massachusetts.
It was later used as a part of spell to create the Zodiac Stake which was destroyed after its use against Leo.
