He's Both is the third part of Chapter Two of the Omega Chronicles.

Plot[]

1 April 1489- Niklaus Mikaelson (Dark Timeline), Elijah Mikaelson (Dark Timeline), Rebekah Mikaelson (Dark Timeline), and the coffins of Kol Mikaelson (Dark Timeline) and Finn Mikaelson (Dark Timeline) arrived at Westminster. "David" approached Klaus and greeted him. However, he was suddenly flung away by Ophiuchus who asked Klaus if had travelled well. Klaus confirmed it and asked where the doppelganger was. Ophiuchus shook hands with everyone before using his powers to mimic Elijah's compulsion before telling Klaus that he has werewolves for him and a Vampire. He told him to pick a place and he'll bring the doppelganger to him. Klaus thanked him for his help before setting up a room for himself. Ophiuchus asked for a few items in return - a mortar and pestle, Kol's blood, and an unpowered daylight ring. Elijah gave Ophiuchus his word before zipping away. "David" awoke to Klaus hovering over him and compelled him to tell him where Katerina was. Olga Milkov and Æthelwulf crashed through the door and forced to Klaus off him. Klaus was amused by the presence of the two and immediately realised they were originals like his siblings.

"David" and Olga left the tower as Æthelwulf told them that he was returning to help Samara Gilbert with her quest to find a weapon to kill the Sirens. "David" was approached by Rebekah and told her that Ophiuchus was just using her family for his own gains. Rebekah grabbed him by the throat and told him that she doesn't care, and that helping her brother was necessary. Klaus entered Æthelwulf's residence in Southwold and demanded the doppelganger. Olga proceeded to rush at Klaus, but he managed threatened to dagger her if she got in the way again. A compelled Noblewoman threw a jug of vervain at Klaus causing him pain and allowing Olga to take the dagger and dagger Rebekah before taking her away from Æthelwulf's residence along with "David". Klaus angrily shouted "David's" name before rushing after them.

Ophiuchus was in the middle of grinding an Enchanted Shroom using his mortar and pestle before feeding Kol's blood to Southwold Lowborn. Ophiuchus smashed the lowborn's head into the wall killing him. He continued grinding the shroom as he waited for the Lowborn to awaken in transition. The Lowborn was fed blood allowing him to complete transition before being compelled to consume an extra shroom that wasn't grinded. He asked how he was able to compel him and Ophiuchus told him that he was special. Ophiuchus seemed disappointed by the lowborn still being alive and sent him to a room in Ophiuchus' tower. After a few hours; Ophiuchus had managed to craft a special poison using a shroom and some blood from a bard.

"David" and Olga rest at the nearby forest. Rosie-Marie of the Dark Timeline zipped over to "David" and knocked him to ground while trying to grab Rebekah. Olga managed to stop her. Rose recognised Trevor and called his name, but "David" told her that he wasn't Trevor anymore, but David Phoenix. "David" remembered Rose poisoning Trevor to turn him into a Vampire. Rose grabbed "David" by the jaw and forced an enchanted shroom down his throat telling him that it was a gift from Ophiuchus. Klaus arrived to attack Olga and grab Rebekah, however, "David" decided to reveal the truth about the Dark Timeline and the former timeline. Elijah zipped over to "David" and pierced him through the back. "David" pleaded with Klaus to heed with him and told him that Rose failed him in the old timeline. Klaus ran off with Elijah remaining behind. Elijah told "David" to elaborate and "David" told him that Trevor the guy that he used to be in the old timeline helped the Katerina from the old timeline to escape Klaus and Rose helped them. Katerina Petrova (Dark Timeline) ran over to "David" and pleaded with Elijah to spare him, however, Klaus returned and agreed to spare "David" if she agreed to come with her. Katerina kissed "David" and thanked him for his help before leaving with Klaus. "David" turned to Elijah and told him that he'd be a fool to let Rose become close to Katerina. Elijah thanked him for his warning and left him with Olga. Olga and "David" returned to Southwold and began planning their rescue of Katerina. Later at night - "David" and the lowborn vampire began to feel an intense pain in the gut before collapsing to the ground. Olga rushed to his side and tried to help him, but "David" was beyond help. Elijah arrived to talk to him and noticed "David" clutching his stomach as he began puking up. Confused - Elijah tried to give him an antidote, but it didn't work. "David" told him that he knows that "he's both" - referring to Klaus and that wants to become a true Hybrid. "David" told Elijah that he knows the history of the old timeline and that Elijah stayed by Klaus' side, because he knew that Klaus was capable of good. "David" asked Elijah to give him his word that he'll never give up on Klaus. Elijah gave him his word before collapsing to the ground. "David" proceeded to desiccate as he passed away.

On 2 April 1489; Samara Gilbert and Æthelwulf were in France looking for a vial contain ash from the White Oak tree after receiving a tip in Italy. They encounter members of the Strix of the Dark Timeline and each of them were offered fare payment to stop them. Æthelwulf and Samara exchanged looks with one another and proceeded to battle The Strix. A number of Strix vampires were killed by Aethelwulf and Samara. Samara remarked that Aethelwulf was a lot like his doppelganger Stefan before kissing him. Tristan De Martel of the Dark Timeline approached the pair and offered the vial to them in exchange for them to spare them. Aethelwulf grabbed the vial but as he did he was decapitated by Seline (Dark Timeline) before facing the pair - Aethelwulf zipped himself, Samara, and the Vial away from Seline. While staying at an Inn in Southern France; Samara expressed her frustration at being hunted by Seline and Sybil.

Back in Westminster; Klaus had a few vampires guard Katerina while he spoke with Ophiuchus. Ophiuchus advised him to break the curse on the sixth of April. Klaus asked why and Ophiuchus told him that he can use his abilities to summon the Full Moon to him allow him to experience the transformation. Klaus agreed to the suggestion. The night of the 6th arrived and Klaus had an unnamed Werewolf, Aya, and Katerina all trapped by Magic. Olga Milkov was about to get ready when a servant of Æthelwulf's residence offered her a drink at Olga's request. Olga drank it, but Ophiuchus stopped her inform her that the he had poisoned it with the Enchanted Shroom explaining the effects to her and she doesn't have long for the world. Samara arrived through a portal and stabbed Ophiuchus with her sword drawing his blood. Aethelwulf zipped over to him and gathered some of Ophiuchus' blood before zipping back from before he could break Aethelwulf's neck. Klaus' witch proceeded to begin the spell and Klaus proceeded to kill the werewolf and let the blood run into the spell followed with Klaus going after Aya next. Katerina tried plead for her life, but Klaus proceeded to drain her of blood allowing him to finally break the curse.

Olga managed to escape and rushed to the ceremony site, but it was already down. Olga killed the Klaus' witch as she felt the poison speeding up each time she used her Vampire speed. Olga proceeded to puke at the feet of Klaus as he transformed into his Wolf form before running off. Elijah rushed over to Olga and she told him that Ophiuchus made a poison that can even take down an Original. Realising that "David's" warning had merit and Gemini approached him to confirm everything; asked for his help as she forced Rose over to him. She asked him for his help to compel the memories of David Phoenix into Rose's mind. Elijah begrudgingly agreed and including the memory of his death as a result of the Enchanted Shroom. Now as "David"; he asked what happened after "his" death, however, Olga explained that Ophiuchus poisoned her with a poison made from Enchanted Shrooms. "David" told her that it might take her longer to die due to being an Original. Aries arrived with the body of Katerina Petrova (Dark Timeline) and resurrected her. Katerina freaked out at the sight of Elijah, but "David" told her to relax and explained everything to her. Samara arrived and showed them the shroom in question and explained that it unique properties. She extracted some of the poison and showed the vial to them - citing that it was spelled with properties to fell Originals and Non-originals. "David" helped her to Elijah's bed and tended to her. Katerina proceeded to undagger Kol, but Klaus stopped her before she could and threatened her.

Katerina was told by Klaus that he had been made aware that her blood was necessary to complete the transition of Hybrids. Olga rushed over to help and managed to force him off her. Rebekah managed to stop her and tried to dagger her, but Olga puked on the ground revealing that she had been poisoned by an effective poison. The Mikaelsons proceeded to meet at Southwold and after getting them to lower their guards she proceeded to dagger each of them and placed them into coffins before burying them under Æthelwulf's residence. Aries revealed to them that Ophiuchus was an 13th Zodiac; revealing that he was very powerful and only manipulated others so that he can use them - looking over to Klaus and told him that he was nothing more than Ophiuchus' pawn now. Klaus refused to entertain Ophiuchus and told them that he'll find away to take him down. The use of her vampire abilities sped up the poison in her system and she collapsed to the ground. Aries angrily called out to Katerina saying that she was made aware of the effects of the poison. Olga told her to let Katerina go as she hurled on the floor. Ophiuchus approach them and greeted Aries before revealing that he was the servant that gave her the drink. He used his magic to grow them using the blood of Aethelwulf, the heart of Samara, and a few strands of hair from Jerick. Ophiuchus opened a portal as Katerina was running out of the home and arrived back in her hometown. Sybil (Dark Timeline) approached her from behind and used her Siren powers to make her believe that her father paid the man to impregnate Katerina so that she would be in England. In her anger; she killed her father tapping into her traveller magic. Seline (Dark Timeline) approached and told her that she just killed an innocence man; Seline explained to her that she was Sirened to believe that her father betrayed her. Seline proceeded to tear out of her heart. Samara and Æthelwulf gathered around Olga as she was saddened by the effect that their friends weren't with them as Olga was starting to die. Aries and Gemini stood at the foot of her bed vowing that they'll always be friends. Olga commented that she could feel her livers burn. Aries told her that she'll simply revive Olga after she passes away. Olga thanked everyone around her as Samara cradled her. Samara told her that although she only knew her for a short while - she was glad to know the clone of her Aunt. Olga died smiling at the comment. Aries asked for some time with Olga as the poison may still be in her system and that reviving might cause her to die again.

By the 15th of April; Aries had resurrected Olga and Samara decided to go on her own to complete her quest to take down the Sirens. Æthelwulf managed to find a vampire known as Lucien Castle (Dark Timeline), and use him to compel him to believing that he was David Phoenix. Olga, "David", and Æthelwulf decided to leave England.

On September 8th 2009; Hope Mikaelson was walking the streets of New Orleans with Damon Salvatore (Dark Timeline). Josie and Lizzie walk around in the Treme. They discussed the plan to stop Dark Elena and Dark Landon. Virgo arrived informed that they she was able perform the Omega Curse Creation Spell in the Dark Timeline. She gave her serum to Brady (Dark Timeline) and watched him as he killed Jules of the Dark Timeline and triggering the Omega curse. Mason Lockwood (Dark Timeline) arrived and using his Moonlight Ring; he proceeded to bite Josie and Lizzie. Brady proceeded to grab Mason and toss him to the ground. Josie and Lizzie rush over to Hope and tell her that they've been bitten. Hope gave them her blood to which Hope reminded them that they could just siphon the venom. Brady continued to fight Mason before proceeding to bite him on the shoulder. Brady darted away as Virgo proceeded to use her magic to throw Mason into an old school bus and imprison him in it.

Dark Elena arrived at the Treme and noticed Mason in the school bus; he told her that he couldn't leave due to being trapped by magic. Dark Elena noticed the bite mark on Mason and asked why he wasn't healing from it to which Mason told her that Virgo turned Brady into a special Werewolf which apparently comes with bite that was also lethal to non-special Werewolves. Mason told her that his Werewolf side maybe the reason why its taking him a while to die. Dark Elena promised him that he'll no peace before firing her crossbow at him - shooting one of her diamond-tipped wooden crossbow bolts through the window and into his heart; killing him. Dark Landon asked why she killed him and Dark Elena told him that he was a lost cause. She asked him if he found where Lexi went, but he told her no.

Three days later - Josie and Lizzie arrived in Mystic Falls with Hope and Regina. Stacey Masters greeted them and asked why they returned to which they explained everything to do with Dark Elena and Dark Landon. Hope explained that they need to capture them to protect Lexi Branson. Ophiuchus approach them and proceeded to spell them away before revealing that he had mimicked Kai Parker's siphoning powers and proceeded to use it to grab two vampires that had been following them and siphoned the pair of magic. One of them was Rose and the other Lucien Castle.

On the 7th of October; Lizzie, Stefan, Damon, and Hope set up to capture Dark Elena. However, Stefan and Damon led Lizzie and Hope down an empty alley before going after Dark Elena and Dark Landon capturing them and taking them to the old Fell Warehouse. Damon attempted to compel the pair, but discover that they are on vervain. Damon realised that it's going to be harder than he thought.
