Personality[]
Hope was also said to be top of her class at the Salvatore school for the young and gifted largely due to her pre-existing training from Freya.
As a teenager, Hope is shown to be stubborn, somewhat emo, and brave as she was willing to put herself through extreme pain and possible death to get her mother back. Both Klaus and Caroline describe Hope as being smart, possibly too smart for her own good, like her father. It has been shown that Hope has gained one of her father's traits of doing whatever she can to protect her family. Hope is always offering to help to save those she cares about and considers family, including Marcel.
Hope struggles to forge meaningful connections with other people and make friends with the other students at the Salvatore School, not only because of her one-of-a-kind supernatural classification but also because she's already endured a lifetime of grief and heartbreak. To her peers, she seems closed off. Due to her often disastrous past, she has resigned herself to isolation, considering it the path that will provide the least heartbreak in her life. She sees loneliness as less of a burden to bear than her formative experiences of loving so deeply and losing so terribly.
Regarding her relationship with Landon, Hope appears obsessed with his well being and protecting him from danger or more specifically death which is likely as a result of how many people she has loved and lost. However, there is a possibility that this compulsive worrying stems from her werewolf side as wolves split up into pairs during mating season and that pair remains together for life. Meaning that once a wolf finds its mate they remain together for life. Hope's budding feelings for him initiated this mating but was likely sealed when Hope and Landon slept together for the first time. This explains how once Landon disappeared her wolf side drove her to find her mate i.e. Landon and care about nothing else, not even her friends.
Also for the first time in her life, Hope has embraced her bisexuality.
Hope believes herself to be invincible with no one in the world to match her power which increases her confidence immensely.
Despite her confidence in her immortality, Hope displayed somewhat concern about the original Triad who made Malivore coming after her and so, in self-preservation, decided to eliminate all of them. She also wants to see which of his identities is the true him - the wicked son of Malivore or the normal human. Ryan believes she didn't want to be alone in her hunt for the Triad.
Occasionally, Hope exhibits flickers of emotion or humanity such as how she spares a young aged Pedro from her brutal honesty, and doesn't kill Josie despite the recent attack from Dark Josie. She snapped Lizzie's neck before learning she had ingested Vampire blood.
The only emotions Hope does seem to express is boredom, disgust, brutal honesty, and rage. Aurora commented that as the only Mikaelson to ever turn their humanity off, Hope will become the most wicked of them all.Physical Appearance[]
As a teenager, Hope is the shortest among her friends and peers standing at 5 foot 3. She frequently wears heeled boots to accentuate her height or outfits. She has wavy auburn or dark brown hair that is seen in many styles.
When she reveals her true face, the sclera of her eyes uniquely remains pearly white thanks to her witch side in contrast to regular hybrids like her father, dark veins appear under her eyes as the blood pumps forcefully through them which cascade from her lower eyelids to just above her cheekbones and her canine teeth extend into razor-sharp fangs. Her irises also shine like that of a werewolf's but appears more of a flat yellow with a fleck of vivid red at the inner conner. Over time, this has evolved to become a glowing amber-like colour for unknown reasons.
In her transformed werewolf form, Hope appears as a majestic wolf with glowing yellow eyes, sharp fangs strong enough to tear flesh, and is the only werewolf to possess snow-white fur. After activating her vampire side, her wolf form is larger and more menacing than before.
Powers and Skills[]
After dying by her aunt's magical hands, Hope began to undergo the common process of transitioning in which she is neither alive nor dead and therefore could resist further death until she completes the process by drinking Human blood and was not yet susceptible to the standard weaknesses of the species meaning she could still enter private property without an invitation.
During this time, Hope lost access to her witch magic and pre-activated Werewolf abilities becoming essentially the weakest version of herself inferior to even her as a Baby since an infant Hope still had displayed subconscious and impressive use of her magic. However, she was able to access minor superhuman strength and speed but was overwhelmed by her senses as the light was blinding, the sound of waves was "deafening", and was crippled in pain for a few moments specifically in her mouth as her canines or her lateral incisors were pushing to extend from the inside of her jaw.
The world, itself, reacted to Hope as she took her first sip of human blood with the sky turning red, lightning flashing, and thunder roaring which was believed to be a warning, specifically an omen, from Nature alerting supernaturals that the balance of power in the world has shifted like never before as her Tribrid status was fully realised and sealing the prophecies regarding her destiny.
When she was bitten by a Berbalang whilst astral projecting into the prison world, Hope briefly lost access to her Tribrid powers and became an Inhuman looking creature with red necrotic eyes, monstrous teeth, and partially disfigured face. During this time, she had an insatiable appetite for dead flesh much like the Vampire lust for blood.
Hope had the standard abilities of a Berbalang namely the ability to interact with the astral plane, highly infectious bites able to replicate her monster virus through contact with her saliva. She also appeared to have certain superhuman physical characteristics slightly superior to that of a normal werewolf yet did not equal a Vampire.
After being cured through an enchanted blade, she has reverted into her normal biology thus losing her berbalang nature and regaining her Witch and Werewolf abilities with dormant Vampirism at the time. It was implied she was only vulnerable to the monster virus as she did not have active Vampirism which would've protected her as a fully activated Tribrid.TBA
Powers[]
- Tribrid Physiology: From the moment she was discovered after being concepted, Hope Mikaelson was a name to be feared even before she technically had a name. Her lineage made her essentially royalty to all three factions of the main Supernatural community given her father being the Original Hybrid of the Original Family of Vampires from which all Vampires are descended from as well as her maternal side being the Original Werewolves and the bloodline of Inadu in addition to Esther and Dahlia who all three are credited as the practical inventors of Dark Magic. The combination of all of this means she was born with the ability to manipulate Magic, latent vampirism, and dormant Werewolf Curse. As so, Niklaus referred to as a "god" once she matures of course. As shown by the Salvatore School supernatural locator globe that shows how powerful a being is by using glowing lights, Hope was confirmed as the most powerful entity in the Western Hemisphere and the Northern Hemisphere with her glow seeming like a star and covered nearly an entire large state-like area of the United States of America. The Eastern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere was not visible. After killing her first Human, she triggered her Werewolf curse and became the first Werewitch in history. Finally, when Hope activated the last side of her biology, she became the most powerful creature in the world and possibly throughout history as Alaric Saltzman, who met Bonnie Bennett, Arcadius, Silas, Klaus/Other Originals, the Hollow, etc, claimed that no one has ever held as much power as Hope currently has as a fully activated tribrid. Furthermore, Aurora scoured the world for a weapon to be used against her but only found a possible means to contain her which was forged to trap Gods hinting she was at God-Level and later proved capable of combating demigods. Aurora later confirmed that much of the Divine being pantheon would fail if they were to try and kill Hope directly and the only one she knew who could possibly kill her in a one on one fight would be the Father of all Gods but admitted the God of Time could warp reality where Hope was never conceived.
- Resistance to Magic: As a child, she was able to remain conscious far longer than other Witch children who were having their lifeforce absorbed by the Hollow. Because of her blood being naturally tainted with dark magic, Hope experiences little if no negative side effects from using the practice which can also pass onto Siphoners actively using Hope as a source to fuel their power as evidenced how Josie was unaffected by using Black Magic combined with Hope but due to her twin psychic link to Lizzie, Lizzie instead felt the effects since she did not act in tandem with Hope's spell. Additionally, any creature absorbed by Malivore while Hope is alive she will remember them with her mind being impervious to the wiping spell devised nearly 10 centuries ago by the original Triad which affected even the Original family as they had no knowledge on Dragons despite living during the "apex" of their time. While trying to access the mutated Prison World, Hope and Lizzie both started to become infected with dark black veins which later effected Josie but in contrast to the others Hope felt virtually nothing despite the pain inflicted on the Saltzman twins. However, a death spell from her aunt Freya was able to kill her when Hope let all her conscious defenses down as it was consensual and essentially assisted suicide. After activating her vampire side, a sleep spell from Josie Saltzman using Traditional Magic was completely ineffective against her. Furthermore, Josie Saltzman who was "radioactive" with dark magic was unable to forcefully restore Hope's humanity due to lacking the power needed to overwhelm Hope. A spark spell used to generate a lightning bolt from her hand caused no physical strain for Hope who performed it extremely casually in contrast to Dark Josie who visibly had difficulty.
- Vampire Gene: As her father is one of the Earth's Original Vampires, Hope's heart has naturally produced blood tainted by vampiric dark magic since utero and has constantly flowed through her veins after being born. As a result, prior to transitioning, Hope has exhibited some Vampiric traits such as automatically healing at a rate superior to triggered werewolves which makes some spell casting hard if it requires blood as she states "I heal faster than i can bleed out". After being killed by Freya Mikaelson and completing transition, she has gained all the abilities of a Vampire but is described as a new type of vampire as Hope is unlike every other vampire that has ever existed (including her family the Originals) since she was not turned into a vampire/hybrid, she was born one. That alone makes her unique already. Her immortality also isn’t tied to anything like the Originals being tied to White Oak, which also makes her immune to Vervain, and she has displayed strength and abilities comparable to the Originals as she was stronger than Aurora - a thousand year old non-original vampire, is repeatedly compared to the Originals, and was able to compel vampires. Despite both vampires being incapable of practicing magic, unless originally being a Siphoner, Hope retained her witch powers at an augmented level similar to how her magic persisted after she triggered her Werewolf curse. Hope's vampire side is seemingly equivalent to that of an Enhanced Original Vampire with the added benefits of an Evolved Werewolf.
- Siring: As a born hybrid, Hope can also use her blood to turn werewolves into hybrids as well—the werewolf must drink her blood prior to their death and afterward in order to complete the transition. Unlike Klaus Mikaelson's siring, it does not require doppelganger blood seeing as she has not been cursed under the Hybrid Curse. She can of course also turn Humans and other species into non-original vampires. This ability was active before her transition into a full Tribrid when she was merely a Werewitch. Currently, Hope has sired; Hayley Marshall-Kenner, Dwayne, Henry Benoit, Lizzie Saltzman, and several hybrids indirectly through Klaus using her blood.
- Sire Bond: Non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and non original vampires turned by Hope has a deep sense of gratitude and commitment to her causing them to obey her every command even if conscious of their actions and unaware of their obedience. If Hope dies, everyone she has ever turned also dies as seen when her Hybrid Army died as her heart was briefly stopped while a were-witch (though she was resuscitated). However, as a activated Vampiric hybrid, Hope's spirit now must cross the veil between the land of the living and dead in order for her new sire line to die as merely snapping her neck or ripping her heart out will not kill off her sires. This was created by Esther as an added security measure to ensure her children's survival - As she was not created by Esther's original spell it is unknown why she possesses such a linking spell as part of her vampirism indicating it may have been genetically passed down. Uniquely, those turned by Hope can instinctively locate her until they complete transition. This ability was active before her transition into a full Tribrid when she was merely a normal witch with dormant werewolf and vampire sides. As seen with Lizzie, sired Vampiric creatures are incapable of harming Hope or allowing her to be harmed as shown when Lizzie reacted to a axe being swung at Hope blocking it in mid air and was unable to impale Hope without experiencing fight back from her own body.
- Superhuman Strength: Hope is far stronger than immortals, Supernatural Hunters, non-Original vampires, sirens, werewolves, Evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids and humans as well as numerous other species that were previously absorbed by Malivore including: Argus, Banshees, Berbalangs, Croatoans, Cherufes, Cyclops, Dragons, Erotes, Fairies, Gargoyles, Gorgons, Gremlins, Headless Horseman, Santa Claus, Krampus, Leprechaun, Merpeople, Oneiroi, Oni, Minotaur, Phoenixes, Qareen, Shunka Warakin, Sprites, Wendigos, etc. Due to her werewolf side, she will grow stronger when using her lycanthrope enhancement or if it is a full moon or enraged. Notable examples of her strength is; kicking people so hard they are propelled through doors breaking wood, throwing a pencil with enough force to pierce a Vampire's heart from a distance, overpowering more experienced werewolves, casually ripping out hearts even those of Vampires, breaking bones which include snapping necks even with just her legs, decapitating humans and werewolves, throwing Alaric with enough force to send him flying high in the air and cracking a concrete pole upon contact, and etc. With the death of Mikael, Klaus Mikaelson, Elijah Mikaelson, Lucien Castle, Alaric Saltzman, and Finn Mikaelson, Hope is now the strongest creature on the planet only rivaled by the last remaining Originals ie; Rebekah and Kol Mikaelson but possesses an edge over them to her hybrid nature and her only equal is possibly Marcel Gerald who was a match for Klaus. However, with anger or being empowered by a specific date in the astrological cycle, Hope could surpass Marcel in brute strength.
- Superhuman Speed: Hope's intensified quickness, agility, reflexes, and endurance makes her much faster than immortals, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids, supernatural hunters and humans, she is slightly faster than her Original Vampire paternal relatives, even more so when she is using her lycanthrope enhancements or in werewolf form.
- Superhuman Agility: She possesses far more superhuman stamina, flexibility, reflexes, agility and dexterity than any immortals, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids, and humans, even slightly more than original vampires due to her werewolf side. She can move, jump very high, flip, climb, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion.
- Superhuman Senses: Hope has extremely keen senses of hearing, sight, smell, and taste that far exceed those of humans, vampires, non original hybrids, and werewolves. She can hear whispered conversations, even ones in far away buildings and on phones. She can also smell blood from several meters away, and see in total darkness. Her sense of taste are enhanced as well, allowing her to detect the presence of drugs, alcohol, or vervain in someone's blood. Hope was even able to track a demigod via following her scent when locator spells failed.
- Superhuman Durability: Hope can take far more trauma than any immortal, non-Original vampire, werewolf, Heretic, evolved werewolf, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrid and human, without much discomfort or injury. It was inferred that her durability is closer to invincibility/invulnerability as the feat of dismembering her was seen as impossible. She was relatively unfazed and immediately stood up after being propelled into a car, denting it, by having a metallic tomb thrown at her at high speeds.
- Immortality: She is even more immortal than her paternal relatives. With her immunity to White Oak, no physical weapon on earth can kill Hope except for weapons forged of specific wood imbued with her magic and blood. It was also presumed that Marcel's venom could kill Hope though it was not confirmed and later proven false by Rebekah who said that nothing on Earth could kill her niece except the tree, much like the Originals, which presumably included the Beast's venom. Despite the extent of her immortality, Hope still needs to feed otherwise she will desiccate and become immobile just like any other immortal, Original vampire, non-Original vampire, or non-Original hybrid. Josie Saltzman was stated that she didn't think it possible for Hope to die and even a demigod was surprised at her level of immortality.
- Enhanced Healing Factor: Hope's injuries heal faster than those of supernatural hunters, non-Original vampires, werewolves, evolved werewolves, non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrids, humans, and even slightly more than Original Vampires. She also seems to heal much more quickly when exposed to wolfsbane or wood. Even while pre-transition, Hope's latent vampiric blood enabled her to heal significantly faster than humans or even werewolves.
- Self-Resurrection (formerly): While her vampire side was still semi-dormant, if Hope were to die she would activate her full nature and resurrect in transition. However, being killed by Freya she was given a choice whether she wanted to find peace or return to the mortal plane which she did. She no longer has the ability to return from death if the extremely difficult act of killing her were to be accomplished.
- Immunity to White-Oak: Hope's immortality is so unique that not even White Oak stakes or bullets are able to kill her thus putting her ahead of her relatives. As Vervain is empowered against the vampire race due to growing at the base of the original tree, Vervain does not offer protection against Hope's compulsion nor does it burn her.
- Enhanced Emotions: Because of her vampiric and werewolf traits, Hope experiences emotions far more powerful than humans, Original vampires, and non-Original vampires. Particularly emotions such as anger, rage, aggression, and violence due to her werewolf temper. However, emotions such as love, joy, and happiness are intensified for her as well.
- Emotional Control: Due to her vampire heritage, Hope is able to exert certain control over her own emotions, e.g. She can turn off her humanity as she did when she killed Landon. However, it was stated that her humanity is only about 70-80% turned off as she has frequent flickers of feeling and could not or would not kill anyone she truly cared about. The reason being was because of her witch and werewolves sides disrupting her vampire emotional influence.
- Telepathy: Hope has the ability, albeit a weak variant, to enter the minds of others as long as she is stronger than them. Normally, this ability works in a tactile fashion and Hope requires physical contact in order for it to work successfully. Even before activating her vampire side, she has also been shown sharing her memories with others.
- Mental Compulsion: Hope can compel the minds of most sentient creatures; humans, non-Original vampires, and non-Original hybrids. She cannot compel supernatural hunters that are members of the Five as well as werewolves, evolved werewolves, Witches, and Original vampires.
- Dream Manipulation: She has the standard ability to control dreams and the subconscious in order to produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming, distort reality, and even trap someone in their dream.
- Witch Gene: Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, Hope is a firstborn of Esther and Dahlia’s Norwegian family line. This means that she has the ability to generate and harness quote “devastating power”. In addition to her Mikaelson magic, she is the only living descendent of a native American Witch tribe dating back 1,500 years to hold magic. Therefore, she has access to mystical energy from both her maternal and paternal bloodlines - both bloodlines being among the most potent witches to ever walk the Earth (along with the Bennett Bloodline) producing god-like witches such as Dahlia, Esther, Inadu, and to a lesser extent Freya. Several characters have referred to her as "all powerful" or "all mighty" with her magic being strong enough, as a baby, to complete the Harvest ritual sacrifice alone despite it previously requiring 4 untapped witches and then fuel the New Orleans witch community for generations despite the Harvest needing to be repeated every few decades as well as make her a threat to people like the Hollow or Davina Claire when she acted as the gatekeeper of Ancestral magic and therefore the most powerful ancestral Witch within the city limits of New Orleans, Louisiana. Dahlia also stated that despite being a baby her power already surpasses that of Freya Mikaelson - another firstborn Mikaelson witch who at the same was Immortal and augmented from ten centuries of accrued Magic. An acolyte of the Hollow once stated that "Hope may be the greatest witch this world may ever know" indicating that at full potential she might surpass even his master - The Hollow also known as Inadu. In addition, Hope's magic appears very visually similar to that of the Hollow as she's matured given they are both some of the only witches whose spells or powers are accompanied by visible expulsions of energy, in their case blue, though Hope's appear more vibrant and somewhat misty flame-like in comparison to Inadu's dim blue appearing somewhat like lightning. This is likely due to their blood connection, however, distant. She likely has an innate amount of magical power equivalent to about one hundred conventional witches. But, due to her active werewolf side, Hope could utilise much more of her exceptional potential compared to Freya as she does not have to worry about over exerting herself due to mortality though not the entirety of her magical reservoirs were available to Hope until activating her Vampire side. Interestingly, while regular witches experience pain when being Siphoned by a Gemini witch, Hope feels no pain regardless to the extent they absorb from her given her near limitless pools of magic which makes her a common source for Lizzie or Josie to draw from and subsequently means she cannot be dessicated or killed via siphoning. During her confrontation with Dark Josie, she largely stalemated Josie who was consumed with black magic and who was powerful enough to allegedly raise and control Malivore from his melted state. A further testament to her power was that she was able to unwittingly complete a ritual that supposedly needed the power of twenty four ordinary witches to complete with no physical strain or side effects, after defeating the original twenty four experienced witches fairly easily. Hope's level of magic may have increased to around two hundred regular witches if managing to tap into the power of her Original Vampiric blood which taints her magic with dark energy that she can also channel to perform dark spells without needing a sacrifice. Hope's magic may also increase as a result of her werewolf side by channeling the 1,500 year old dark magic fueled by Inadu's first death or the extreme aggression that comes with the curse. She can moreover channel her emotions to provide a boost of strength which also causes her to lose control and perform destructive feats of Magic that make her a danger to anyone around her. 300–to-800 witches, while emotional, was said to be a conservative estimate by Alaric Saltzman indicating that at raw and untamed levels Hope's magic reaches a entire whole level of its own. When her transition into a fully activated Tribrid was completed, it seems as though her witch side has been augmented as her magic is noted to be "darker" than it was before indicating that since her vampire side is now active instead of dormant it affects her power greater than just passively infecting her spells with dark energy. With her humanity off, her magic became weakened, yet still terrifyingly powerful, seeing as emotions are a fuel source for one's own power. Despite this, her magic was still superior to "Dark" Jo and any other witch at the Salvatore school and even Freya Mikaelson, another firstborn Mikaelson witch with a 1,000 years experience, commented that facing her would be suicidal. Aurora De Martel, a thousand year old vampire, compared Hope's power to that of real life divine beings which Hope demonstrated by effectively combating an ancient demigod and frightening an actual God. It appears as though her only Witch comparisons would be her great aunt Dahlia, Qetsiyah, or the Hollow. She can access several powers without needing an incantation such as:
- Divination/Clairvoyance: Hope has the ability to divine future, past, and present events based on extrasensory perception. She is clairvoyant, like Bonnie Bennett, being able to sense danger even as a child though as a teenager/young adult she has lost touch with this ability. Hope has used this in recent years to predict future catastrophic events such as Landon's death or the twins/Alaric Saltzman being trapped in the prison world.
- Teleportation (limited): Hope displayed this while under the effects of a monster, using a simple snap of her fingers to exchange shoes with another student. Such precise and casual control over an advanced ability is testament to Hope's superior witchly power.
- Pain Infliction: After Klaus intervenes while she was letting her frustration out on Elijah, she instinctively turns around and attacks Klaus with a potent, non-verbal pain infliction spell that brings the Original Hybrid to his knees. Hope uses the non-verbal form of this power again to torture Roman for his part in Hayley's death. After Klaus makes a deal with Elijah and Antoinette, At St. Anne's Church, Klaus encourages Hope to "let it all out", As Hope's eyes turn the radiant blue of the Hollow, she releases her amplified Magic upon Emmett and his followers with each of the 50 vampires experiencing immense pain, bleeding eyes/nose/ears before dying.
- Pyrokinesis: Hope has the ability to non-verbally summon and control fire or flames as evidenced by extinguishing a fireball with her hand, accidently set an abandoned building on fire, combusted cars ablaze, and light candles. This was powerful enough to control the fire breath of a Dragon shapeshifted into a human women with the flames being held back in mid air.
- Energy Expulsion: Hope tends to inadvertently unleash a wave of transparent flamy blue energy as an omnidirectional shockwave exploding in all directions from her body which is powerful enough to knock out witches, vampires, and werewolves as well as send furniture flying. This has happened on a number of occasions usually thinking about deceased loved ones, however, with effort she can direct the energy inward to control its harmful potency to the outside world. This power supposedly comes from her Labonair blood being the descendant of the Hollow who shared a similar power but less vibrant. After becoming a fully activated tribrid, she gained more control over her previously mentioned energy power as showcased how she effortlessly released a massive shockwave to send her former friends flying that echoed across a city block.
- Electromagnetic Disruption: When emotional, Hope's magic subconsciously lashes out at nearby sources of electricity. For example; upon finding out her mother is dead, Hope caused fairy lights on her wall to explode. While overwhelmed by thinking about her dead lover, the lights in the Salvatore school would flicker on at least two occasions until she was interrupted.
- Channeling: To boost her already exceptional power, she can channel the energy of celestial objects such as the sun, moon as well as the elements, another witch, her own emotions, or rare events like Eclipses, meteor showers, a comet, Planetary Conjunctions, Auroras, or a Supernova.
- Telekinesis: Though she normally uses spells, she can influence both objects and people without needing a verbal incantation. Notable examples include; releasing a telekinetic shockwave from her hand that exploded glass objects, short circuited electrical units and caused books to fly off the shelves by the dozen, she also released telekinetic ripple-like waves from her body to attack both Alaric Saltzman and Landon Kirby though accidently when emotional, ripped deep gashes into Elijah's durable body, bent a metal spoon with her mind, overpowered Davina Claire as a child, in multiple instances caused a room to shake as if an earthquake was happening, strangled Ryan Clarke with a fist gesture, unleashed a telekinetic fury on a forest without incantation solely through a scream similar to her attack on vampires when holding the Hollow's power but without the blue colour, opened or slammed doors, and frequently flung people backward before pinning them against a surface. After becoming the Tribrid, her psychokinetic ability became heightened to the point where she casually decapitated a vampire by accident while trying to choke him.
- Spell Casting: As a witch, Hope has the ability to invoke magical change upon the world through chanting in ancient languages such as Latin. Due to training from both Freya Mikaelson, the Salvatore School, and reading the Mikaelson collection of Grimoires in her free time, Hope has extensive knowledge on numerous fields of witchcraft including Dark Magic, Ancestral Magic (New Orleans style), Traditional Magic (one's own source), Earth Magic (drawing power from nature or the four elements), Blood Magic, and Representational Magic - Making Hope "well rounded" so to speak.
- Nature Spell: A spell that channels Nature to enhance and accelerate the growth of flowers, plants or entire gardens. The incantations are; "Crescere arbor" or "Corrupan vinea", or "Phasmatos Tribum, Veras Regenera'. The first incantation summons vines from the ground to bind a target with the second spell being an enhanced version but the third grows a tree of her choice.
- Flower Petal Shower Spell: This is a simple, yet showy, spell that causes flower petals to erupt from a flower and to fly into the air. It's incantation is; "Tomar lento. Na paz, amor".
- Death Spell: This spell utilises black magic, channeled from her blood, to induce death upon a target of Hope's choosing though only if they are in her line of sight. The incantation is; "Tenebris anima vestra contundito mortem et conteret spiritum. Frange vitam nolite corde ut sub terra esse, ad tenebras usque in sempiternum" or "Tenebris anima vestra contundito mortem". This is powerful enough to gravely injure a Dragon and could kill a normal human in seconds with the effects manifesting as dark veins spreading.
- Astral Projection Spell: A powerful spell that allows Hope to project her visible, astral form of their consciousness across vast distances such as to other continents. The incantation is; "Demitte moi, demitte moi" and it requires candles, sage, and crystals.
- Prison World Astral Projection Spell: A powerful spell used to send one or more people to the prison world albeit partially where people existing in the prison world are unable to see, hear or touch them. However, with enough power, Hope is able to give the targets a tangible presence, allow them to physically interact with the world. The incantation is; "Phasmatos Tribum, Invocia Cavea, Misero Mundi".
- Chambre de Chasse Spell: An elaborate spell that creates a localized astral plane commonly used as a prison where Hope bring her targets for mental target practice. The spell is based on the practice of representational magic and, as such, can unravel if the targets are not represented accurately or their totems destroyed. The incantation is; "Locus sua mortenduis la chambre, Locus sua mortenduis la chambre".
- Spell of Unknotting: Created by Esther to enact an advanced unlinking spell. The spell involves a sanguinum knot, used as a physical representation of the linking spell in question. Once successfully completed, the knot levitates and unties itself signifying that the linking spell has been broken. The incantation is; "Phasmatos omnio ligor coldate sangorium... Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto... Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto vingulia cordit".
- Telekinesis Spell: A spell used by Hope to induce a controlled yet potent version of telekinesis. It is similar to the passive, non-verbal telekinetic power she can access. The incantations she has used are; "Motus", "Vitae", "Patere", "Ictus", "Icaeus", and "Fluctus inpulsa". Hope has impressively created a number of custom spells such as; "Dimiterre", "Mittent", "Saithus", "Scalare", and "Exsurgo".
- Immobilization Spell: A spell that allows Hope to cast a magical hold over their target, restricting them to a certain location or position, effectively freezing them where they stand. It is capable of subduing strong beings, such as Original vampires. The incantation is; "Prohibere", "Immobilus" or "Corporis impetu".
- Sleeping Spell: This spell renders her target instantly unconscious when cast. The spell can also be utilized in the form of a white powder which she used on Alaric Saltzman. The incantations Hope has used is; "Ad somnum" for single target which is accompanied by a fist gesture or "Somnus" accompanied by a snap of her fingers for multiple targets.
- Aphasia Spell: A spell that renders her target unable to speak, leaving them gasping for air as they struggle against the spell's effects. The spell will be released with a wave of Hope's caster's hand in addition to "Regelo". Alternate versions of this spell simulates the complete removal, or the sealing, of one's mouth. The incantations she has used is; "Silencio".
- Truth Spell: A simple spell that forces her selected target to be compelled to tell their darkest truths regardless of their willpower. The incantation is; "Veritas tempus".
- Reverse Kyanite Ring Creation Spell: An enchantment placed on a piece of jewelry with a Black Kyanite gemstone that allows a werewolf to transform into their wolf form without the need of a full moon. Once the ring is worn, however, the werewolf will not be able to turn back. The incantation is; "Per lucem lunae et huius lapidis altitudinem, in hac forma carceratus es".
- Earpiece Enchantment: An enchantment that is performed on Hope's and target's ears, allowing them to speak to and hear one another from a distance. The incantation is; "Ab una aure ad alteram".
- Magic Negation Spell: This spell reverses the effects of witchcraft on a target, object, or location while it could also be used to prevent another witch from using their magic. The incantation is; "Finis habentis maleficia".
- Mimic Spell: A simple spell that causes the target to mimic the actions of Hope. The incantation is; "Imitantor Pupulus".
- Locator Spell: A simple spell in which Hope will receive a vision of the object or person's location. Alternatively, using the target's blood and a map can be used to ascertain a more precise location. The incantation is; "Sequitur".
- Luminescence Spell: A spell that conjures a ball of light in Hope's hand. The incantation is; "Post tenebras spero lucem".
- Wind Torrent Spell: This spell is used by Hope to create a torrent of wind to attack enemies or creating powerful gusts of wind. The incantation is; "Ventus".
- Water Torrent Spell: A spell used to create a torrent of water by drawing in the water in the surrounding air. The incantation is; "Aquam alia".
- Electromagnetic Disruption Spell: The spell prevents the use of modern-day electronics, such as phones, by interrupting its electrical current or cellular signal. The incantation is; "Concido".
- Dark Magic Locator Spell: A spell that utilizes the sacrifice of a small rodent or just black magic to locate a target, one that can be considered an enemy. The incantation is; "Inveniet hostium et tenebrae".
- Interactive Locator Spell: An interactive spell that locates new, young, supernatural beings the very instant that they awaken their power. The spell is performed on a globe and a small glow appears over their location; the bigger the glow, the more powerful the being. Hope's glow has been described as huge and from what was seen it appears to be the biggest glow in half the globe. She created this spell and gifted it to the Salvatore Boarding School. The incantation is; "Novus et iuvenis. Magica magica invenit. Fulgebunt splendide".
- Comfort Spell: A simple spell that provides peace of mind by conjuring a glowing butterfly made of light. The incantation is; "Papilio lux".
- Japanese Purge Spell: A spell taught to her by Josie Saltzman that can purge the mind of supernatural influence or solidify the erasure. The incantation is; "Harae-tamai Kioku. Yomigaerashi-tamae". Unlike Josies, her dark energy discharge is intermixed with blue energy in contrast to purple.
- Artificial Sunlight Spell: A spell that, as it suggests, creates artificial sunlight when used with a bright blue elixir. The incantation is; "Sol".
- Healing Spell: Typically an advanced spell that is used to heal the injuries and recover from non-fatal wounds. Such spells are capable of healing injuries at different proficiency levels, speed, and effectiveness. Hope as a child healed injured butterflies and fireflies with no verbal incantation.
- Boundary Spells: The spell allows Hope to erect a boundary spell quickly in a small vicinity around her. One variant lacked preparation or binding agents and maintained by the will of the caster through hand gestures while other forms of this spell can be utilized with a time limit. Some of her Incantations include; "Clostrum", "Claudo te", "Vis sera portus", "Apné sà mene", or etc.
- Doorway Unsealing Spell: A spell used to unlock an opening of a passage, whether bound with locks or chains. The incantation is; "Dissera portus".
- Boundary Destruction Spell: A spell that utilized raw magical power to break through (reverse) a complex imprisoning spell placed on a building. The incantation is; "Apné en vrata!"
- Protective Shield Spell: This spell creates a shield to protect Hope from an oncoming attack, such as from fire or electricity. It varies depending on the attack either being telekinetic in nature or projecting blue electricity that forms a semi-tangible shield. The incantation is; "Scutum".
- Bubble Boundary Spell: A bubble-like boundary spell used in a localized area to protect Hope and those around her. The incantation is; "Bulla".
- Nature-Bound Boundary Spell: A spell that binds a boundary spell to freshly cut tree branches to prevent the target trapped within from leaving. The incantation is; "Manus naturae contineris".
- Illusionary Cloaking Spell: More commonly known as an invisibility spell, this spell allows Hope to cloak herself and her targets — be it a person, object or certain locations completely based on one's perception. The incantation is; "Invisique".
- Disillusionment Spell: The spell allows Hope to counter illusion or cloaking spells, revealing magically hidden objects or people. It's incantation is; "Invisque saeclum".
- Translucence Spell: A spell that causes objects or walls to become see-through as if looking through glass. The incantation is; "Preitori Speculo".
- Fire Spell: A spell that can create fires or ignite flammable objects such as alcohol. It is similar to the passive, non-verbal pyrokinetic power used by most witches. However, unlike most witches Hope can use the water in the atmosphere as an accelerant. The incantation is; "Incendia".
- Fire Extinguishing Spell: A minor spell used to extinguish small fires in a localized area. The incantation is; "Adiuuatur".
- Combustion Spell: A violent fire spell that ignites an object and rapidly spread in it's immediate, localized vicinity, causing it to explode. The incantation is; "Bruciare supe terram, faciendo ignis ga praemium".
- Water Freeze Spell: A spell used to rapidly freeze flowing water on a solid surface or a source of water. Such a spell is capable of killing targets when beings are physically frozen. The incantation is; "Glace, solidatur. Glace, solidatur…"
- Spark Spell: An advanced spell used to generate electricity that can be projected toward a target. The incantation to do so is; "Lecutio". The spell was strong enough to create an arc discharge of blue-white electricity from Hope's hand. She was able to perform this at a degree far visibly easier than that of Dark Josie Saltzman.
- Werewolf Gene: From both her maternal and paternal DNA, Hope has inherited the werewolf curse making her part werewolf and technically apart of the Labonair Crescent pack and an ancient North East Atlantic Wolf Pack. Both packs dating back to the genesis of the Werewolf species and Hope effectively serves as the link between the two warring factions as well as the unofficial de facto alpha of the Crescent pack - Later becoming the proper alpha of the unnamed pack before slaughtering them. Prior to triggering her curse, she displayed some increased agility and strength, above that of a normal human. Since she has triggered her werewolf gene, she has gained access to the standard werewolf attributes and provides her with enhanced senses, such as hearing, sight, and smell, as well as heightened aggression all of which manifests as a Cresent-shaped birthmark on her back. Hope even demonstrated, prior to transitioning into a full tribrid, that she can tell when someone is lying to them by listening to their heartbeat. Despite the curse being invented to suppress magic, Hope's Witch powers persisted and effectively allowed her to become the first Werewolf-Witch Hybrid throughout history - a feat only replicated by her paternal cousin Nik.
- Procreation: Klaus claimed that Hope would be able to procreate with others due to her unique physiology. After she has turned into a fully activated Tribrid, it is unknown whether or not her womb is hospitable or whether her eggs are fertile but considering as long as a Vampire consumes blood regularly their bodies function normally it can be assumed that she is still able to become pregnant and thus have unique offspring (children who are three species at the same time like Hope with the first having augmented magic but also the genes of the father which if he is a different species than Vampire, Witch, or Werewolf, Hope's children would be the first Quadbrid so to speak).
- Lycanthrope Enhancement: When angry or threatened, Hope's irises would glow with a yellow light like other werewolves which would temporarily increase her activated powers. Hope's werewolf abilities are naturally strongest on a Full Moon. Hope is capable of using her werewolf features to further supplement her Vampire powers growing stronger the more rage she experiences.
- Enhanced Strength: As part werewolf, prior to activating her Vampirism, Hope displayed considerable levels of increased physical strength stemming from her triggered curse. This allowed her to throw a dodgeball with enough force to send another Werewolf, an Alpha, flying into a wall. She could also; easily break locks, overpower zombies, cause a human women to be knocked unconscious by a relatively light bump on the head, easily snap the neck of a Berbalang, overpowered golems, break the long wooden handle of an axe in half, punch a boxing bag with enough force to send it flying into a brick wall thereby damaging the wall itself, break cursed shackles placed on her by snapping the chain, and etc.
- Enhanced Agility: Like all Werewolves, she possessed an increased level of agility enabling Hope to move, jump very high, climb, flip, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion. She could also jump down from incredible heights with almost gravity-defying grace.
- Enhanced Reflexes: To save Landon, Hope caught a mystical arrow launched from a bow using her hands.
- Shapeshifting: Hope has the ability to transform into a magnificently powerful wolf form in which all her strength and abilities, save her magic, is heightened. Uniquely, her wolf form is the only one seen to possess white fur. The transformation involves the breaking of every bone in her body which can be a slow and painful process. After activating her full potential, Hope's clothes did not need to be removed or else be ripped into threads as her magic enables it to dematerialise and then re-materialise which manifests as a wave of neon blue energy across her skin. Hope's transformation into a wolf also seems to take mere seconds now and causes little pain.
- Transformation Control: She has some conscious control of what she does while in wolf form being able to stop herself from harming anyone and can also willingly shapeshift even if it is not a full moon. Hope has also explained that her ability to control her transformation stems from her tribrid status, as with other werewolf-vampire hybrids. She can now grow werewolf claws and fangs even when she is still in her human form despite not being able to do so as a Werewitch with dormant vampirism. Hope can also display both sets of vampire and werewolf fangs.
- Day Walking: Due to her werewolf heritage, Hope is immune to the lethal effects that UV rays and sunlight have on vampires allowing her to walk in daylight without the use of an enchanted ring.
- Werewolf Bite: Due to her werewolf heritage, Hope has venom which is fatal to non-Original vampires and she herself is immune to werewolf venom. It is secreted through her fangs which allows it to be transferred through a bite and is then pumped by the heart throughout the victim's entire cardiovascular and systemic circulatory system, during which time it will infect every cell in the vampire's body, producing discomfort and weakness, developing uncontrollable hunger that progresses to delusions, hallucinations, rabid rage, and dementia, finally culminating in death.
- Immunity to Silver: Due to her werewolf heritage, magic bonded to silver doesn't affect Hope. Weapons made of silver might wound her, but the wound heals at superhuman speed. White Oak tipped silver daggers imbued with bennett magic had little effect on Hope but was able to temporarily dessicate her vampire side though thanks to her werewolf side it doesn't keep her down for long and thanks to her witch side she can even pull it out before she's finished de-dessicating - A feat even Klaus Mikaelson was incapable of as he had to wait before he could pull it out.
- Werewolf Bite Cure: Hope's blood is the only cure for a normal werewolf, or her/Klaus' or a non-Original werewolf-vampire hybrid venom; this ability was inherited from her father, the Original hybrid, Niklaus. Like Klaus' blood, Hope's blood cannot cure a bite from the Beast but can ease the symptoms for a time more effectively than that of her father since Klaus only bought a few seconds of relief whereas Hope bought hours of life. Since the death of her father, her blood is the only thing on the planet besides a Siphoner which makes it an even more valuable substance.
- Conditionally Poisonous Blood: Aside from the other unique properties her blood possesses, as the last "living" member of the Labonair bloodline weapons laced with her blood could kill the Hollow/Inadu or at the very least expel her spirit from a host. After dying, it is unknown how potent her blood remains as Hayley's was weakened after becoming a hybrid. Uniquely, due to her status as one of Nature's loopholes, Hope's blood is also toxic to Malivore which means it can act as a curative to Malivore mud bullets, weaponized by Triad scientists, and can also destroy Malivore, his dimension, and any golem made from his mud/DNA. Prior to transitioning, Hope's blood was not strong enough to completely destroy Malivore as she was not a full tribrid yet could still close any mud portal and acted as a toxin to him.
Abilities[]
- Expert Combatant: She has learned hand-to-hand combat and stick fighting with Alaric and regularly trained with him. Hope has been skillful enough to overpower old vampires and hunters with her hand to hand prowess. Recently, she has used her vampire and werewolf skills in tandem with her martial arts.
- Multilingualism: Hope is capable of fluently speaking or understanding Latin (as taught by the spells of the Salvatore School), English (her native language), and portuguese as well as French or French Creole (as taught by the New Orleans witch community). Thanks to Josie, she also knows a small amount of Japanese specifically a supernatural purge spell.
- Self-Control: Despite being a Vampire for a short time, she has shown great proficiency and control in using her new abilities including limiting her strength and performing expert compulsion even hours after first turned (usually compulsion needs to be taught or discovered after a long time). However, this control did not extend to her Magic as it is more volatile and now without her emotions subconsciously holding her back she needs to exercise more thought into her witch powers and spells.
Weaknesses[]
- Invitation: Hope cannot enter any house or property owned by the living unless being invited in by the owner. This is due to the ancient threshold spell cast by the spirits one thousand years ago.
- Nature: As the will of nature is the most powerful concept in the universe, Hope is bound by some but not all of its laws as her unique physiology grants her certain immunity to supernatural rules. It was inferred by Cleo Sowande that Nature had a hand in the tree that could kill Hope as she stated "Nature would create a balance near the sight of the Tribrid's birth".
- According to Dahlia, firstborns of her family's bloodline inherit great power; however, it is unstable and will damage and, ultimately, kill the witch if they are not taught to contain it. Furthermore, as a possessor of the werewolf gene, Hope will experience bouts of severe aggression.
- Cursed Objects: Handcuffs, bracelets and chains made from silver and imbued with magic through Kemiya - a dark brand of alchemical sorcery, will limit Hope's witch magic but it is likely she could free herself due to her immense strength. However, these bindings will not stop her vampire or werewolf sides. Furthermore, the Traveler blood fountain and Aphasia candle will also limit her magic but she retains use of her other abilities. A powerful gold trident imbued with the negative emotions of a dark witch has the power to transfer Hope's essence into the body of another and vice versa through even the smallest cut. With the only known trident destroyed, it is no longer viable against Hope. A weapon forged by Bennett witches centuries ago made out of silver and if dipped into white oak ash, the existing magic fuses with the ash and enables a Vampire to neutralise/desiccate an Original Vampire. Rebekah utilised this on Hope which proved ineffective in the long run as though she was incapacitated for a few minutes, Hope could forcefully revive herself and pull the dagger out. The Golden White oak ash dagger was originally forged by witches and transmuted by Kol and Davina using Kemiya as a way to subdue her father since he was unaffected by White Oak Ash Daggers. If dipped into the White Oak ashes and then stabbed through Hope's heart, she will be neutralized and desiccated so long as the dagger remains intact. It is unknown but likely Hope would be able to use her magic to reverse the effects similar to how Dahlia freed Klaus. The Flame of Imprisonment, the Salvatore school barrier candle, and The Serratura are all capable of creating a barrier from which Hope is unable to bypass yet the first two are on a time limit. Papa Tunde's blade has the power to dig into Hope's chest, rendering her paralyzed in a state of excruciating pain, and was the only weapon shown to make no-humanity Hope frightened due to its connection to the Hollow.

Trivia[]
- Hope has multiple theme songs specifically: # 1. a more emotional song representing her struggles and the burdens she carry which is Jessica Darrow - Surface Pressure (From "Encanto": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQwVKr8rCYw), # 2. a song to represent her badass self and nature as a fighter which leads to isolation from her peers which is Doja Cat - Boss Bitch (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QAevjELLMs), and # 3. Blood // Water (King Kavalier Remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOEvdWn8izU) which represents her descent into and journey with no humanity leading to her losing her family and friends and terrorizing the supernatural world.
- Elley Duhé - Middle of the Night (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfgcbCe9Z_o) was a runner up song but was ultimately decided against.
- Hope is responsible for two known Nexus Vorti's including her very birth that (along with several dark objects) was capable of bringing back an Original Vampire from the grasp of spiritual oblivion itself (after the other side had been destroyed) and control them. A feat which previously would've and did require the power of hundreds of witches. Her transition into a Tribrid also created a nexus Vorti that is currently unknown whether or not it was tapped into to fuel a spell.
- As Klaus notes, Hope has 'inherited' all of his enemies by being his daughter. She herself claimed to have thousands of enemies as a result.
- Hope has a trust fund account managed by Freya and set up by Elijah Mikaelson, per Klaus' wishes, before their death. She can only access it independently once she is 21 years old while beforehand she needs to ask Freya. It includes the deed to The Abattoir, two mansions in Mystic Falls, New Orleans Plantation, an Arkansas safe house, several exotic cars courtesy of Elijah, and millions of dollars in gold bars as well as a winery in Atlanta. Apparently, it might also contain the ownership to a manufacturing company as the Mikaelsons owned a corporation that builds safes, among presumably other things, with the Salvatore School using one of these.
- She mentioned that she could dip into this fund to help the Salvatore school during their financial trouble but Alaric refused to use Mikaelson money for the second time.
- Mikaelson money is used to fund the Mystic Falls hospital as Rebekah Mikaelson felt guilt as so many of the patients were caused by her family. This enables Hope to receive special access after hours and any patients she brings in to get special treatment including the best doctors and large, private rooms.
