Luca Hasting was born to an Unnamed Father and Mother in 1193 and is a vampire who was sired by Darius Salvatore in 1224. He was killed by Darius Salvatore again when he killed his daughter (Katheryn).

Luca's Early life is unknown, although it is known that he was born in northern Romania and was sired by Darius Salvatore in 1239.
Cádiz, Spain - 1811[]
Luca does not have magic powers so he could not learn Carmen's Magic so he decided to only agree with her ideologies.
Mystic Falls, Virginia - 1974[]
In 1974 Luca (who had been carrying on Carmen's ideals and legacy since 1814) would acquire a Preeminent Stake and would go to Mystic Falls in order to make Darius pay for killing Carmen. Unable to harm Darius (because he was too powerful), Luca would stab Katheryn in the heart, causing her body to burn up in blue flames. Katheryn would say goodbye to her father, before she was literally and figuratively annihilated. Darius would hurt Luca severely, before deciding that he would rather make him pay. After posing as a mortal he would tell the A.S.O that he managed to catch a Vampire. The A.S.O pleased would except and would torture Luca for years. After about 7 years Darius would come back and would strap Luca to a chair. After this he would pour lighter fluid on him and would light him aflame. As Luca cowelled in pain Darius cackled and said "I wonder Katheryn felt", as he then gouged into Luca's chest and ripped out his heart.
Personality[]
Luca was ill-mannered, stern, and on rare occasions kind. He displayed little regard for the death of people in order to get what he wanted and whilst being held and tortured for almost a decade, Luca showed that he was tolerable to torture. Despite being burned, stabbed, and even being forced poison, even though Luca's mental state was on the decline and was starting to deteriorate, Luca stilled stayed moderately sane.
Attitude Towards Human[]
Luca sees humans as less compared to himself and ultimately regards their lives as being essentially insignificant, as humans are mortal whereas he is a vampire and will live forever. As a result of his immortality and the fatal violence he witness on a regular basis, the death of a human who has no significant connection to Luca is typically a non-event for him, and is either shrugged off as collateral damage or seen as a means to an end in part to his agenda (i.e killing Darius).

Luka has curly hair, brown eyes, a tall figure (standing at over 5'11 ft tall/1.524 meters).

It is derived from the Latin name Lucas, which itself is derived from the Latin word "lux" (light). It may also come from the Latin word "lucus" meaning "sacred wood" (a cognate of lucere). The name is common among Christians as a result of Luke the Evangelist.
Hastings[]
The Hastings Surname is of English and Scottish origin. It is a habitational name from Hastings, a place in Sussex, on the south coast of England, near which the English army was defeated by the Normans in 1066. The surname was taken to Scotland under William the Lion in the latter part of the 12th century.
