Malcolm Salter was a Vampire Hunter who was killed by Cyrus Salvatore.
Early Life[]
Malcolm's early life is quite unknown though he was adopted at a young age as Malcolm's mother (an unknown human) gave birth to him and couldn't take care of him. Edward Montgomery (Malcolms Biological Father) was unaware of his son for a majority of his life and only learnt of his existence in the last moments before his death (Kai Parker Screwed Us).
Death[]
At the age of 24 Malcolm would be killed by Cyprus Salvatore in Evil Shall Perish.
Physical Appearance[]
Malcolm has brown eyes. light brown hair, and has a skinny physique.
Clothing[]
He often wears suits and dress shirts under his attire. He also has commonly been seen with a backpack that contains many of his supernatural belongings and a name tag that has his name on it (Malcolm).
Personality[]
In Evil Shall Perish When asked by Alexandria Salvatore to kill Darius Salvatore because he is a Vampire, Malcolm acted fast and swiftly, showing his disdain for the Vampire species similarly to his father (Edward Montgomery). When Cyrus Salvatore jumped in the way of Malcolm's attack (so his brother didn't get wounded) Malcolm's body and heart would be held by Cyrus. Malcolm was quoted saying "I Have a Family!", before Cyrus ripped out his heart out, showing that he would resort to cheap tricks/attempts to get empathy from others whilst in tough/desperate situations.
Powers and Abilities []
As supernaturally gifted hunters, members of The Brotherhood of the Five are endowed and imbued with peak or above human physical abilities, such as strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and endurance. This includes a natural affinity with weapons combat and hunting. Despite having these abilities he would still be killed by Cyrus with ease.
Prior to becoming a Hunter, Malcolm was able to see the 'invisible' Hunter's Mark tattoo on an Unknown hunter's arm, which, according to the unknown hunter, meant that Malcolm was a potential vampire hunter. Once that unknown member died, the first part of the Hunter's Mark appeared on Edward's right hand, and after he killed a vampire, he activated his powers and became a full member of the Brotherhood of the Five. Becoming a supernatural hunter gave him increased strength and agility; in addition to these physical powers, Malcolm also became immune to Silas' psychic powers, Cyrus' dream manipulation and mind manipulation abilities, vampire mind compulsion, and could not be a host to a Traveler as a passenger.
Malcolm is also an accomplished hand-to-hand fighter after being trained by his adoptive father, as well as him killing personally many vampires (120+). In addition to his hand-to-hand skills, Malcolm had demonstrated that he was a capable marksman with both firearms and a crossbow, as he took 7 vampires down from a considerable distance with a crossbow, and shot them both in the head with fascinating precision.
