Samantha "Sam" Marie Grayson is a new witch and a sophomore at Mystic Falls High. She is a descendant of one of the members of the Original Coven and unknowingly has one of the In Ulfus Annulos in her possession.

History

Sam is originally from New Orleans but her family left after vampires took over. After coming to Mystic Falls her witch abilities started to surface where she lost control and used pyrokinesis to burn a old toy in anger. .

Personality

Sam is insecure but intelligent, with a sardonic sense of humor and a small case of OCD. She likes being on her own and likes to keep it that way but she feels comfortable around other witches and warlocks.

Physical Appearance 

Sam has shoulder length black hair with pale skin. She is 5'3 and because of her height and appearance she looks younger than she really is. She is also very beautiful.

Abilities

Since her abilities just started to surface she doesn't have full control and finds it more difficult to control her offensive powers. Since she is in possession of one of the In Ulfus Annulos, her abilities are enhanced.

• Channeling: The act of channeling or drawing other forms of energy and power by focusing on celestial events.
• Conjuration: The act of calling, commanding, or summoning an element, object, person, or spirit already in existence.
• Pyrokinesis: This is where she can manipulate fire and bend it to her command.
• Good Nature: Due to Sam's good nature she can in a way make people become good or do the right thing. This power was seen in action when Sam's good nature rubbed off on Darius Salvatore and made him decide not to feed on a human, forming Sam and Darius' Relationship.
• Compelling:The act of controlling and manipulating the minds of humans. (Similar to Compulsion)
