Something Fishy is the third part of Chapter One and third part overall of H2O

Plot[]

At the Southbank Police Station; Thomas was in the middle of fingerprinting the Mayor of Southbank when his attention was stolen when a mysterious individual began wondering the police station. Neil emerged and proceeded to reveal his true face to the Mayor and told him that he was doing this because he rejected his petition for the Southbank Private School. Mayor confusingly asked what he was talking about as Neil had never come to him in his life to which Neil replied that the Mayor may have forgotten, but he hasn't before proceeding to maul him. Terry called Thomas back as Carly was making herself some coffee and they noticed the Mayor's mangled body and a saltwater crocodile near it. They quickly run out as Sherilee approached them and suggested that a new kind of creatures was in play. Thomas attempted to play her off, but Sherilee retorted that the Mayor hadn't done a thing to the Supernatural in his life, and for an attack to happen like this seems too convenient to be random. Terry decided to focus on the fact that the town no longer had a Mayor and Sherilee decided that she was going to run for Mayor.

On the morning of November 9th, 2031, at Lisa Gilbert's House; Emma had awoken and made herself some practise as she was listening to some music. She decided to call Rikki and asked her to consider hosting her sleepover event. Rikki told her that it wasn't good idea now that they were Mermaids, but Emma told her that she continue onwards as they need to live their lives. Rikki caved after Emma's repeated instance to which Emma apologised for the whale, but Rikki told her that she didn't want to talk about it, and asked her to open the Cafe. Elliot and Lisa entered the kitchen and asked whether or not Emma was going to enter the Queen of the Sea Competition, however, Emma said no as she had plans with Rikki and that she doesn't do the competition anymore. Lisa told her that she can't put her life on hold due to her recent changes as tried to hide the truth from Elliot. Emma told her that she hasn't experienced what she was experiencing and that she convinced Rikki into hosting her annual sleepover party. Elliot asked if Cleo was going to be there to which Rikki overheard as she arrived and teased him. Rikki called his crush "cute", but reminded him that he was too young for her and to try again in two years. Lisa scolded Rikki claiming that she was giving him false home and that he shouldn't encourage her younger brother to wait for love. Elliot told her that she's a weirdo for calling his crush "cute" and to started to argue until Emma mediated them away from one another reminding Rikki that Elliot was as her brother as well.

At the Southbank Wharf; Neil Gilbert had taken up residence in a nearby shack and was cleaning away the blood on his face when he overheard Sherilee. He walked outside to see Sherilee announcing the death of the Mayor and her intention to take his place. The townsfolk were put off her by a claim, but others understood listened to her pitch. As he focused on the rally; Miriam walked into his eye-line, but as he noticed her he felt a sharp pain in his head. He remembered when Sherilee told him about Axle Bennett dying a car accident, however, his memories began to seem different. Sherilee's memories take him back to 1 June 2008 and Sherilee and Axle were driving out of Southbank. Neil was in the back of the car when they were driving on the towns T-intersection Bridge called the The T Bridge. Sherilee took control of the car and forced it off the bridge, but were saved by an unknown individual. In the memory; Neil was laying the ground when he spotted Sherilee speaking to a mysterious man asking him to compel Neil in order to make him believe he was never in the car. Neil woke up and was confused as he had know idea what he was remembering, but knew for certain that Sherilee murdered Axle. Neil declared that he'll kill Sherilee for Axle and marched off.

Miriam saw Neil marching away when she was approached by Thomas; he asked her wear she has been lately and she told him that she doesn't have to tell him. Thomas asked her if she was aware of any supernatural events in town to which Miriam told him that there's no such thing as the supernatural and to stop trying to rope her into the so-called Inner Circle. Tiffany, Nate, and Byron walked over to her and Nate coldly told Thomas to go away as he handed Miriam a can of soft drink. Thomas walked off after calling Nate an annoying idiot and Nate gave him the finger.

Zane, Cam, and Lyla sat at JuiceNet discussing the recent deaths and Lewis's harsh words against Zane. Lyla told him not to be two upset about Lewis's temper tantrum and that he was just acting out since he's been hanging at with Cleo.

At the Southbank Beach; Cleo was accompanying the mysterious woman. The mysterious woman identified herself as Louise Chatham and revealed to her that she too was a Mermaid. She provided Cleo with the Grimoire to help her learn and control her abilities. Louise warned her of telling the wrong people as that could cause problems down the track. Cleo was well-aware and told her if she can help with the transformation issues - Louise told her that there's spell she and her friends can use that'll help. Louise encouraged Cleo to come for a swim with her and they both went out to see, however, Kim noticed the tails at first she thought it was her sister, but when she looked again she realised that it was indeed her sister and were amused by the revelation - Cleo noticed her sister looking at her and ran out of the water. Louise used some sort of a spell to cause her tail to turn back into legs as she ran after Kim.

On Commerce Street; the judges for the Queen of the Sea Contest where in the middle of the announcing the event when Bev and Donald approached Cleo and asked her to put name down for the contest. Cleo told her that she doesn't like the contest and never has as she was trying to see where Kim went. Donald rephrased his request into an instruction and told her that it's only to help her come out of her shell abit. Cleo reluctantly signs and told them she wanted to talk to her sister, but they told her she needed to go over with the other contested and was taken over to an area next to the Southbank Newsagency where Sophie, Miriam, and a few other girls were staying meanwhile at the Chadwick House - Emma and Rikki welcomed some of there friends which included Carly, Lyla, and few others to sleepover. Lyla noticed Elliot and walked over to him, but he told her to leave him alone for assaulting him the other day. Lyla told him to get over himself, however, Emma and Rikki overheard the conversation and Rikki grabbed Lyla by the neck. She told Elliot to tell them everything and he mentioned to them that at the Newasgency - Lyla entered with Cam and Zane, and began bullying him. Samantha confirmed it and asked him why to which he revealed that he has a crush on Cleo and Lyla found out. Lyla called Cleo a loser with a terrible vlog channel, and proved it by showing a recent vlog of her complaining about the Queen of the Sea contest. Emma told Lyla that she was no longer welcome at the sleepovers, however, Lyla told her that she couldn't eject her as it wasn't her sleepover to which Rikki told her that Emma was her "stepsister" and not to be rude to her before kicking out. Emma thanked Rikki as it was the first time that she had ever called her "stepsister". Rikki hugged Emma and Elliot.

Will was watching the contest when Sherilee approached him and asked where Neil Gilbert was. Will told her that he doesn't know and Sherilee responded that Will always hangs out with Elliot and must know where he was. Will reiterated that he didn't know when he felt a sharp pain on his neck which was administered by a couple of man in suits. A few hours later in the space in the ceiling above the Southbank Pub. Will awoken and asked what Sherilee did to which she responded that she sedated him in order to find out where Neil was. Will angrily exclaimed that he didn't know to which Sherilee opened the blinds and told him she doesn't believe him, however, Will was confused and asked why she was showing him the contest. Confused - Sherilee grabbed some vervain that she had imported and pressed it against his face to which it had no effect. Sherilee dragged another chair with Lewis strapped to it and demanded to have knowledge for Neil.

The judges were in the process of announcing the winners as Kim was waiting to see if her sister will doing anything Mermaid-like. She filled a bucket of water and intended to expose her to everyone as Cleo and Miriam were called to the stand. Cleo was looking sheepish and shy as she was on stage. One of the judges snapped at her to stand-up straight, but Cleo declined as she was uncomfortable. The judges refused to continue unless Cleo stood-up straight, however, Cleo sensed something off and noticed everyone in a trance with Neil climbing the stand. Neil told her that Sherilee was responsible for the death of Axle Bennett and intended to kill her and anyone that got in his way. Kim continued to spy on her sister as she watched Neil approached the judges and proceeded to maul them to death. Kim was so shocked that she dropped the bucket of water onto Miriam knocking her out. Neil managed to run off the audience were shocked at the site of the judges' corpses and noticed Cleo standing by herself. Donald and Bev demanded what had happened and Cleo told them that she has no idea, but neither of them believe including Terry and Thomas. Bev noted that "Something Fishy was going on" and that Cleo was behind it.

At the Southbank Police Station; Cleo was pacing in a cell with her parents angrily asking why she did what she did, and if it was worth it. Cleo exclaimed that she was just as confused as everyone else with Thomas explaining that no one else was standing on stage when whatever trance that came over them occurred, however, they are sent into another trance as Neil entered the police station. Neil told her that Sherilee must pay for killing Axle and that Zane wouldn't be so angry all the time if he just knew the truth. Cleo tried to plead with him that revenge wasn't the answer and Neil turned to her and told her that revenge was all that he had. Cleo reminded him of Emma, Patricia, and Elliot to which Neil retorted that Emma doesn't speak to him, Patricia was on a cruise, and Elliot never stays home. However, Patricia proceeded to fire shotgun at Neil with shells filled with chilli powder and told him to get away from Cleo. She told him that she returned a while ago only to see him feed on Lisa and kept away until Louise tracked her down in order to tell her everything. Cleo asked Neil how he escape to which Rikki spitting into the bowl did the trick. Neil attempted to attack Patricia and Cleo attempted to use her magic by turning on a tap to turn herself into a Mermaid, but it filled with Louise emerging using the Water Summoning Spell followed by the Flammable Water Spell in order to set him alight, however, he managed to recover and proceeded to go after them. Bev and Donald seemed to break free from their illusions and noticed Patricia before seeing Neil attempt to eat her. Cleo asked why she couldn't use her Mermaid abilities and Louise told her that she used a Mermaid Suppression Spell on and proceeded to use the Reversion Spell which not only undid the suppression spell, but also undid previous spells causing the fire to extinguish. Cleo decided to reveal herself to her parents as a Mermaid before breaking out of the cell.

Above the Pub; Sherilee continued to pester the two for information, but Will didn't know and Lewis played dumb. Lewis noticed the stage and pointed it out to Sherilee causing to become shocked and run out. Miriam explained to her that the police think Cleo killed everyone. Sherilee marched off to the police station with Lisa accompanying her. Kim confronted Lisa and demanded to know what's going on and asked how long her sister's been a Mermaid. Lisa realising that Kim knew decided to compel her to forget that Cleo was a Mermaid before compelling her to go join Emma and Rikki at the sleepover.

At the sleepover; Kim had arrived and were playing truth or dare; when Kim accidentally spilt some water on Emma. Emma quickly placed her sleeping bag over her legs as she transformed back into a Mermaid. For the rest of the party; she remained in her sleeping bag with Rikki making excuses for her.

Sherilee burst into the police station as Patricia was fighting off Neil. Sherilee attempted to stake him, but the stake splintered and shattered on contact with him. Louise told her Neil was a Rakshasa not a Vampire and that she needed to take him down with brass. Neil grabbed Sherilee by the neck and ordered to tell everyone the truth about husband, and instead of denying it she asked him how he knew since he wasn't there and Neil retorted that he was in the backseat and he got some vampire to compel him. Sherilee confessed that she did murder her husband because he was a Witch, but no one was in the back. Cleo, Patricia, Donald, and Bev looked at her with discuss as Thomas emerged from the corner. Sherilee looked over to Cleo, but Bev stood in front of her to prevent her from seeing that she was Mermaid while Thomas had a full view of her. Lisa burst into the room and attempted to bite Sherilee, but she was sprayed with Vervain-spray causing her to walk backwards into a filing cabinet and knocked it over. Neil told him that he won't let anyone interfere and proceeded to bare his teeth and mortally wounded Bev and Donald before going after Sherilee. Louise told Cleo to stay with her parents, and Lisa tried to heal with her blood. Cleo panicked and exclaimed that wasn't working with Lisa suspecting that the wounds may be too severe to heal with her blood. Cleo confirmed that the blood was indeed in their sister to which Lisa confirmed - she noted the water around and the proceeded to use her magic to electrocute them to death.

On the roof of the police station; Thomas told Neil to stop, but Neil exclaimed that he can't stop as he was always hungry and that he can't go home without worrying about eating his son. Louise offered a solution to him as she recently came into recently hard of a spell that can be used to make him a Hunger Ring. Neil stopped himself from attacking Sherilee and told her to meet him at the wharf with what she needed. Sherilee was arrested by Thomas, however, Lisa told him that she intended to compel him.

Later at the Sertori House; Thomas, the bodies of Donald and Bev, Cleo, Lewis, and Louise were all gathered with Louise begging Thomas not reveal anything about the Merfolk or what he saw, but Thomas told her that he was part of the Inner Circle, and that he was already aware of Vampires, but Merfolk were new to him. Donald and Bev suddenly woke up just as Terry entered the house and told them that he already overheard. Louise turned to Cleo and told her that tomorrow was the full moon and it would be the right time to make a pair of Moon rings to help Cleo control her abilities. Cleo asked how Louise was a Mermaid when Mako Island was invisible for years to which Louise revealed that there's more than one Moon Pool in the world. Louise travelled to Bjorne Island on May 8, 1968 when she was only 15 and become a Mermaid. She discovered a group of Merfolk that resided off the coast of Greenland. She explained that when Merfolk procreate with Humans the Merfolk gene remain prominent allowing the child to be born a Merfolk which only activates when they reach the age of their parent was when they became a Merfolk while when a Merfolk procreate with another Merfolk - it results in a unique species of Merfolk called Purebloods. The Pureblood clan that kept made her a member of their clan and she helped her learn Merfolk Magic.

The next morning - Neil was wearing his new Hunger Ring while Bev and Donald were wearing their Daylight Rings as they met up in town. Patricia walked up to them and announced that things are finally going back to normal. Neil felt another sharp pain his mind and a memory formed which. Neil was at the Southbank Wharfs when and saw Cleo, Emma, and Rikki as part this new memory. Neil was felt scared and concerned as the trio were cutting something. Neil approached them and noticed it was body of a man he didn't know, but with a few sharp pinches in his mind - he addressed the man as "little brother" and promises to get revenge for him.

Cleo and Lewis bond with one another before sharing another kiss while Emma and Rikki are fast sleep at their sleepover party.

Bev and Donald become Vampires in this part after Cleo electrocuted them to death out of mercy after they were mortally wounded by Neil Gilbert. They manage to complete their transition and Cleo provides them with Daylight Rings.
This part marks the first time that Sherilee Bennett is antagonist.
Thomas, Donald, Bev, and Sherilee find out that Cleo is a Mermaid in this part, however, Sherilee was compelled into forgetting by Lisa for fear of Cleo safety.
