Tyler Lockwood was a former main character, protagonist, current werewolf and a former hybrid on The Vampire Diaries, who played for the football team at Mystic Falls High School. Tyler was also an antagonist/anti-villain of the episode Bloodletting of The Originals, where Tyler carried out his vendetta against Klaus Mikaelson. Tyler was the son of the Mayor of the Mystic Falls, who was killed in Season two of The Vampire Diaries.
