Veronica Nicole-Xanthe Salvatore is a daughter of Darius Salvatore, first child of Emily Forbes, and is a sister to all of Darius' children. She is a powerful Witch and if she dies she will become an Original Preeminent Vampire.
After successfully beating Caliban and completing the quest of the Dominion, Veronica became the queen/princess of Hell, able to shift through the dimension and back with ease.

Early Life[]
Veronica was born in 1890. When she was born she was taught proficiently and was given good knowledge upon the world. She progressed faster than most children and was quite adept. By eleven she had a mastery over 3 languages (English; Main, Italian; Secondary, and French).
A young eleven-year old Veronica spent most of her time training in hand-to-hand combat and utilizing the most of her physical abilities while in training exercises. Upon learning of her true nature as a supernatural being she would get furious at her parents for not telling her, although after she would realize that they were only trying to shield her from getting hurt. She researched the mysterious entities of the world for many years and would be shocked to find her father upon multiple marks of history. The first time was when she learnt of the nomadic vampiric travellers of The 11th Century (Niklaus, Kol, Elijah, and Rebekah Mikaelson) and would stumble across the many travels of her father. She would later discover The 1804 Haitian Massacre that killed thousands and was started by her father. After reading such passages, Veronica started to become scared of his actions throughout history. This was because her father was completely different to her, oppose to what history portrays him as. Upon learning that Cyrus Salvatore (her uncle) created an infamous supernatural book showcasing most of the events her father was apart of. She read it and picked it up almost instantly. She read the gruesome accounts of murder and rippings committed but also read the good things. She read the uniting of the people of boston and ending the Boston Massacre, fighting in most wars that occured in the USA and Canada, helping the people devastated by the plague, building civilizations, forging The Order and much, much more. This changed her perception on multiple people and gave her an entirely new outlook on life.
1917[]
Early 1917[]
In 1917, Darius, Veronica, and Emily move overseas to Europe. Due to her tomboyish nature, things more suited to men at the time were very intriguing to her. This interest eventually led to her cutting her hair, and enlisting in World War I. Her father attempted to forbade it, but she was dead set with participating. He understood, although gave her vials of his blood to heal in case things ever went south.
Late 1917[]
Not wanting his daughter to suffer in severe pain from her werewolf transformation every full moon, Darius gives Veronica the same moonlight ring his mother gave him when he was a boy.
Battle of the Lys, 1918[]
Veronica participated in the Battle of Lys where she fought valiantly in the 53rd Infantry Division. She experienced the horrors of war, although eventually made it out by fighting her way through the German Nazi's, garnering the respect from many soldiers. During the war she also triggered her werewolf gene.
1919, England[]
After returning from war, her family throws her a return party. She is delighted to be back home, and is greeted by her parents, and later her aunts and uncles. Her uncle Dante was especially excited to see her return, hugging her, and wishing to hear her tales from war.
1920[]
A year after returning from war, she ended up graduating from highschool. After she did, Veronica travelled back to America to attend the University of Notre Dame due to her being accepted.
1921[]
In 1921, Veronica takes a page from her grandmother's grimoire. This is where she learns how to perform the Longevity spell, which she does to make her aging slow.
1925[]
After Veronica finished university, she returns to Mystic Falls, Virginia, where she lives in her childhood home with her father.
2027[]
Veronica finds the early hunting works of Samara Gilbert and is disgusted. Veronica finds bodies slain to pieces, and vampires in pain. She states that her work reminds her of a late 19th and early 20th century Rayna Cruz, whom of which she encountered on numerous occasion.
2029[]
Veronica watches "Samara" slaughter an entire family line of French Louisianan wolves. These same very wolves come from the same wolf bloodline as Veronica, albeit distant.

Physical Appearance[]
Veronica is of medium height with a petite physique. She has wavy, short blonde hair, clear skin, and sparkling green eyes. She mostly forgoes makeup and typically dresses somewhat conservatively but comfortably so; she is not however above wearing eye-catching and/or alluring attire if the occasion calls for it. Since the early 2000s Veronica's look sports a different look then she had formerly. Her hair has become pure white, and her wardrobe and makeup preferences have also changed to reflect the more provocative look of modern fashion. She did, however, go back to wearing her conservative clothes. Underneath her human-like appearance, Veronica has a slightly more ghoulish appearance. When she deactivates or rips off the bracelets that conceal her power, she has paler skin, messy hair, and white mystical and mythical eyes.
Personality[]
Veronica possesses a incredible sense of self and strong willpower, enabling her to resist psychological torture effectively. This was seen when Mia Salvatore-Cruz tried to get information out of her and she repeatedly withstood her attempts to break her. Similarly, Veronica has a fierce sense of independence. An ardent feminist who believes in the advancement of women in society. She has no qualms over confronting anyone who demeans any women. Veronica is an uncommonly compassionate, caring, intelligent, thoughtful, rebellious, and spirited person, as well as an unwaveringly loyal friend and she is also very loyal to her blood relatives.
Veronica despises violence. She sees most of it as quite pointless in retrospect. Experiencing the horrors of war first hand, Veronica is quick to attempt to negotiate and reason with one, rather than resort to needless bloodshed. She hates death, especially murder and despises murderers herself. Despite this, Veronica can be somewhat of a hypocrite. Veronica has killed many before, although she admits this on occasion. She calls herself a monster despite defending herself from an attacker, beating herself up for such an event for weeks on end. She is seen by her loved ones as a martyr, and her sister describes her as a "vengeful good-doing-justice-seeking martyr".
Veronica's overwhelming sense of justice and retribution is one of the things that drives her the greatest. She is ruthless when it comes to someone who she wants to pay for an action(s), and can be quite merciless. Especially if it is against her or her loved ones. She hates her sister Mia for her nature and morals. Whilst hating the huntress Samara for her ruthless ways of kill, and her slaughter of an entire family line of wolves, along with her other hunting exploits. She studied Samara's attacks, and slowly a hatred began to boil up within her for the huntress. She eventually does one of the things she hates most and kills Samara, before burning her body.
Having grown up with two vampires as parents and believing that the world was only full of mortal humans till the age of eleven, Veronica is the polar opposite of most witches in numerous ways. She has a very strong moral compass and doesn't look down on mortals or other species as inferior. Her loved ones and belief in freedom of choice are by far the most important to her, traits which led her to reject the teachings of some older witches. She is quick to question witch traditions and will work tirelessly to find ways around the more barbaric practices. Talented, resourceful, brave and supported, Veronica eventually developed a mild form of arrogance. This trait, paired with her dedication to her friends and family, has led her to make reckless and sometimes bad decisions that have unfortunately cost her greatly. In an attempt by her parents to make her life peaceful and preserve her innocence, Veronica would grow up believing that the supernatural and entities of the sort did not exist, and were instead make belief. It wouldn't be until her research and aunt Skylar told her that her father and mother were both of vampiric nature. This made her resent her parents momentarily, until she realized that they did this in an attempt to protect her and her identity, rather than to suppress her abilities and potential.

Powers and Abilities[]

Veronica is a very skilled combatant as she was trained for multiple years. Her hand-to-hand combat is great enough that it can take down the average, vampire, witch, and even werewolf with ease. Veronica has also demonstrated an extreme affinity for using magic. She was formidable enough to stop multiple Vampire's from moving and she even cancelled out the spells of various witches without showing signs of significant stamina drainage. When she got in possession of one of Leonardo Williams famous journals she learnt how to produce hellfire (blue mystical flames) and with this power she is able to kill even the most strongest Primordial Werewolves with enough hellfire. She also has a wide variety of other abilities that are only known to her and her kin, though most of these techniques are unknown. Although Veronica is not a vampire, she possesses a few vampiric traits, for instance, her blood. Her blood was able to heal her mother while in the womb as well as able to heal herself, such as when she sliced open her shoulder and stabbed her knee with a knife. Her blood can be used to sire new vampires and Preeminent Vampires as well, the latter being an ability only possessed by the Original Preeminent Vampires. She can also heal vampires from a werewolf bite. If Veronica were to die, she would become a vampire. By using a spell similar to the one that Gloria used Veronica has been able to stunt her aging in order to keep her flawless skin and to appear young. Veronica possesses the typical abilities of a Witch and Werewolf.
